"Alexander, it's- it's such a pleasure to have you here tonight!" the interviewer said with a smile and the man smiled back
He glanced at the audience as everybody, along with you sitting on the front row, cheered for him. His smile, he had to confess, got a little bigger when he saw your wide smile but tried to keep himself from getting carried away. You had that effect on him, even after all these years and he could still not understand it, but he never truly complained about it. Your eyes locked for a split second and he winked, not caring if it was on camera because he had done much more over the course of time to show his affection for you anyway.
"It's a great pleasure to be here as well." he nodded his head with a smile.
"I always- I always wanted to ask you whenever we met, how is to have that many siblings? I'm- I'm an only child so I always thought about it but you- you are eight siblings, am I right?" she asked and he subtly nodded his head "That certainly can't be boring at all huh?" she added an waited for his response.
"Well, no of course not. It- It never gets boring with eight kids in the house, even if most of us are practically grown up. There is always something to do when we visit and- and you know what? I don't think dad has that much trouble with the youngest ones. I am sure that my fiance will agree me and Gustaf cause most of the trouble in there." he grinned as you scoffed, mouthing an 'Obviously!'
"That's how it happens most of the time, I can imagine." the interviewer chuckled.
"Yeah, but- but, well, as I said there is always something to do with eight kids in the home. Always! Just- just imagine having to set up the New Year's table for ten people plus some of ours' significant others." he chuckled, shaking his head "That's- that's a real mess but it is always fun. At least I consider it to be fun, I don't know how my fiance sees it." he grinned, looking at you "I do know she- she was shocked and overwhelmed the first time she saw us all together gathered around her but-" he laughed again when he saw you nod your head with wide eyes "But she got used to it... I hope?" he glanced at you as you shook your head with a laugh.
"Well- well she is... trying to get used to it, I think it's a better term." he corrected as he saw you nod your head at him.
"Well, it's eight kids. Sure that takes time getting used to." she grinned looking down at her notes "Uh tell me Alexander, you got engaged a couple months ago and just in a few there will be a wedding too, great congratulation by the way!"
"Thank you very much." he said with big smile.
"I wanted to ask, are you planning on having any kids soon or not? And if yes, how many do you think you'd like to have?" she finished.
"Oh" he chuckled, rubbing his arm "Good question! Well, truth is, we- we wouldn't mind to have kids soon. We've-" he motioned at you, glancing for a second "We've talked about it, and the prospect of having kids has always sort of- sort of appealed to us, we've always liked it but waited for the right moment. So we have prepared almost everything and would say we- we really are ready, I think. Besides, I know she's make an amazing momma anyway!" he broke into a grin, winking at you as you giggled.
"I am sure growing up with all those kids around, your siblings, taking care of them and seeing them grow up had certainlyattributed to this, am I right?"
"Oh yes, yes absolutely! I've always wanted, you know, to have a big family like the one my father created and- and, to answer your previous question too, uh my uhm my ideal number of... kids, I think is-" he paused, trying to find the right words "I would really like to have more than eight kids for sure, yeah I want to beat my father in that! I'll really go for more than eight, I mean he had kids in the 80s, 90s and so on and it took time but- but I really would love to go for it!"
"You-" she giggled especially at the enthusiastic grin on his face "You really seem set on it, and quite eager too, but I- I think that your fiance is... about to have a heart attack to say the least."
"I've-" he laughed as well as he saw the mortified expression on your face, eyes wide and eyebrows shot up, hand over your heart as you kept shaking your head "I might have kind of neglected to tell her. Oops!" he shrugged innocently.
"I'm really taking it that this prospect doesn't excite you as much (Y/n)?" she asked with a giggle, a camera turning to you as you were handed a microphone.
"Sure, pff. Why shouldn't I be excited at hearing my future husband wants to have a dozen kids!" you shrugged as if it was nothing before chuckling "I have nothing better
"Hey, I'm fine with just ten darling!" he rushed to say with a grin and you laughed, lowering and shaking your head.
"I'll tell you, I love this man that much that I am willing to bear his children, but-" you giggled, raising a finger "But two is the most he's gonna get out of me, alright maybe even three if they are the same gender, but I am certainly not even gonna let him touch me if he keeps trying after that!"
"Oh please, that's what you keep saying but you know it's never true!" he shook his head and you laughed, nodding your head.
"I'll have to admit I never know what might happen in the end but I am certainly not bargaining this! It's easier for men to talk when they won't go through all of that for nine months!" you shook your head, laughing "No, three maximum!"
"She'll be saying that now, but I will get her to do what I want to in the end!" he grinned mischievously, winking at you "I have my ways of convincing her!" he added and the crowd cheered ad you hid your face behind your hand.
"He sure does!" you said with a giggle as he smiled proudly but tried to shrug innocently "And they are never innocent!" you pointed out and made them all burst again into laughter as he gave in as well.
Oh those ways!
