Chapter Five - A Change In Plans

I know that I haven't updated in a long time and it's really cause I didn't see any hope for this story, but for those of you who have left me comments and voted for it; it's pushed me forward and I've decided to start writing again. Updates will be irregular but they will be coming!

Chapter Five - A Change In Plans

"So which dress do you think I should wear?" Cassey held up a silver sparkly dress and a black dress with a white belt and a huge bow in the front. Before I could answer she threw the black one at me with a squeal. "I just came up with the best idea. You stay here and make sure Jess and Alice get ready, I'll be right back." She waltzed out the room before I could do or say anything.

The material of the dress felt soft in my hands and I admired the dress. It was simple but cute and I found myself falling in love with it. I tossed it on the bed and went to check how Alice and Jess were doing in the bathroom.

In my head I was mentally preparing myself for this party. For all the drunk bodies and dancing. All the body shots and stripping games. This was the first party of the summer and more legendary parties would happen throught-out the summer. This was only the beginning. Although this party isn't like the usual ones. It's more formal and seems to be actually well planned out. I shrugged it off. Maybe Josh, the host, had had a change in heart. You know, wanted to try something different in the party department.

"How are things going in here?" I walked in to my mother doing Alice's hair and Jess pulling on her dress.

"Great! I'm almost done here and then I'll do you sweetheart." My mother called out as she finished straightening Alice's hair. She clearly didn't know what she had just said. My mother could possibly be more excited than the three of us, even if she wasn't the one going to the actual party. What mother wouldn't pass up the chance to doll her daughter and three friends up?

"Wow," Alice and I breathed out at the same time. Alice had never straighten her hair, always keeping her blonde hair in its natural curls which were than locked away in a pony.

"You look gorgeous." I cried out, running out to Alice who was still staring in amazement. She looked stunning with her hair straight and a dark blue dress on. A simple silver bracelet was around her left wrist and she did a twirl, her dress flaring up around her.

"Done! What do you think?" Jess was loving this all too much. She wore white knee high boots that had killer heels on and her black hair was let down and blended in with the large amounts of mascara and eyeliner on her eyes that made her look so pretty. Her dress was a dark pink, reaching the floor. The dress had a long slit on the left side, showing the boot and some thigh. Bangles and bracelets adorned her wrists as she flattened out the dress.

"You look stunning." I gushed out and she admired herself in the mirror, smiling to herself in victory.

"Okay I'm done now." Cassey walked in on a pair of white heels and a sky blue dress that hugged her curves. Her hair was pulled into an elegant bun and her make-up was done to perfection. Her hands were covered in silk gloves that reached her elbows. "Now it's your turn." She turned to look at me. I was still in my jeans and tank top when I was shoved into a chair and turned away from the mirror.

My mother started on my hair, Alice helping her out as Jess went to get the make-up and Cassey got my dress and jewelery. I was a little frightened when Jess started to do my make-up but I believed in her and let her do what she wanted. Next, I was forced into the black dress with the white bow. I was handed a pair of red high heels and I put them on.
