I was standing on the sidewalk. I was feeling sad. My own mother died from a heart attack. Nobody cared. Nobody listened. The whole time I just felt scared. But one day I felt better. But still I was angry. I was angry with the whites that kept bullying me. They yell out racial slurs. They kick and punch. But today I just wanna stand up. I went to work. But on the corner of my house there they were. Just standing there. Waiting for me to come out. I jumped. I wanted to make a dash but they caught me before I could reach the ground. I ran, I ran until I couldn't run anymore. But it was too late they grabbed me right before. I screamed for help. Then for Mercy. They wouldn't listen nobody could hear me. They turned me around. They said "Your just a dumb negro, you can't be heard." I started crying. My face turned red. I just wish that I could have stayed in my bed. I screamed for help one more time. Still nobody heard. They slapped me in the gut and then ran off. I wonder why. Why they ran just like that. They left me on the ground and I couldn't see them in plain sight. Then a shadow came over me. I wondered who. I turned around and it was a white man too.
