Hymn for the Lonely

Her sister was too naive and
Her little brother turned into a thief
He stole all the money they were saving up for a new life.

She tried to hide away inside her own mind,
But the pain was too strong, it broke out
She tried to fight it with the blade of her knife.

Tonight, she lies, underneath a thin disguise and
Tonight, she cries, a silent scream of painful lies and
Tonight, she tries, tries to see the light inside but
It died
Inside
Done forever, alone inside her mind.

What's the use to try to fake a smile if
In the end it's rotted by her bile
Cause she can't keep down all those home cooked meals.

She goes through her days quietly
She swears it's the only thing that keeps it clean
Because she only wants to hide the way she feels.

She watched her brother rot inside a cell
Heard her sister scream at another veil
And she swears, this is the best life gets.

Oh tonight, she lies, underneath a thin disguise and
Tonight, she cries, a silent scream of painful lies and
Tonight, she tries, tries to see the light inside but
It died
Inside
Done forever, alone inside her mind.

Then she decides she's done with life so she drinks
Next thing you know the pain goes down the sink.
Next thing you know she's gone in a blink.

Oh tonight, she flies, given wings to soar the skies and
Tonight, she smiles, tears dried up, no pain for miles and
Tonight, they cry, a sister that they never knew but
She died
Inside
Gone forever, gone from inside their lives.
