Countdown: 3 days until Halloween

3d pov

For the second night in a row, Karma Akabane found himself climbing the mountain to the Class 3 E school building I the dead of night. When e reached the top he made his way to a small shed in a corner of the track field and began to set up. It was going to be a bad day for a certain green haired girl.

Nagisa Set his blue and white school bag down at his desk and glanced around the room. First again. He did a double take staring open-mouthed at a desk near the back of the room. Karma was asleep in his chair, his feet propped up on his desk, his right arm draped over his stomach, and his left hanging at his side. Nagisa took a few cautious steps towards the sleeping boy, careful to avoid the creaky floorboard so karma didn't wake up. He looked like a whole other person while asleep, his chest rising and falling peacefully, and his features calm and relaxed. He looked almost like a little kid, his mouth slightly open and his hair all messed up, falling into his eyes. Nagisa smiled to himself and reached out a tentative hand as if to touch the sleeping boy's face, but at that moment loud voices echoed down the hallway and Nagisa spun on his heel.

By the time the bluenette reached his desk, the door to the classroom was sliding in and in walked Sugino, Isogai, and Maehara, laughing and elbowing each other playfully.

"Yo, Nagisa," Sugino called, noticing the blunettes presence," First one here as always I see," Nagisa turned his head back to look at karma, opening his mouth to protest by Isogai beat him to it.

"Hey, Did you do the English homework Nagisa? I forgot, mind if I copy?"

"Ur, yeah, hold on," the small boy replied, fumbling with the zipper to his bag. When Nagisa was finally able to hand Sugino the paper, he got up and went over to wake karma, hoping the other boys had really not noticed him, but part of hi knew they had. Placing his hand on karma's shoulder he shook the redhead, gently as to not startle him, muttering soft words of encouragement. "Karma. Karma? Karma! Time to get up. Come on your at school you know!" slowly The sleeping boy's eyes fluttered open.

"Nagisa?" his voice was groggy, still full of sleep.

"Karma, school starts in like twenty minutes, get up, you're already here!" At that karma's eyes snapped fully open and he jumped into a sitting position, nearly falling out of his chair, Nagisa catching onto his arm, giggling softly.

"How did I.. OH right, kayano.." the redhead trailed off, his brow furrowed, lost in thought.

"Kayano? What does she have to do with, oh never mind, karma there are people here," Nagisa informed the still sleepy boy, jerking his head back, indicating where Sugino and the others were gossiping away, sneaking occasional glances at Nagisa and karma. There was a rush of air and a bang as Koro-sensei flew in through the window, appearing in the middle of the room, his face bright pink, his eyes oddly satisfied.

"Sorry I'm late children, I was taking care of important grown-up things..." he trailed off when the three boys over near the window stared at him expectantly. "Well now where is everybody," the octopus said, his face returning to its usual banana yellow color, trying to change the subject. As if on cue the classroom door slid open for the third time, and a group of girls walked in, Kayano at the front, wasting no time in running over and wrapping her arms momentarily around Nagisa's neck, dragging him away from Karma, who she completely utterly ignored. As Nagisa's hand slipped from his shoulder, karma felt a wave of resentment towards the green haired girl well up in his chest. Today was going to be fun, he thought wickedly, very fun. Nagisa sent him an 'I'm sorry' look from over his shoulder before Nakamura made a grab for his pigtail, winking at karma as she did so. He dodged it expertly, but blushed and yelled at her all same.
