Today, Kazuki was ill, so he decided to stay from from work today. I saw that he really didn't feel good, so I went to work by myself. He was still able to drive me, because he said,

"I just don't like you being on a train, you know what happens to sexy men on there."

We arrived at work early, as always, and I saw Izumi walking into the building, but not by himself. He was walking with another employee, He had short choppy blond hair, and he was relatively tall like Izumi.

I dismissed all allegations of their possibility of dating, and turned to kiss Kazuki on the cheek, because I did not want to get what he had.

I opened the car door, and walked inside the building, waving to Kazuki.

As soon as I walked in, I walked passed Izumi who was talking to the man he walked in with, he was leaning on the soda machine, and as soon as I went passed, he glared at me, and I tried not to glare back.

"Taku-kun, Where's Kazuki?" He said, without stopping, I say,

"He's sick today" and I continue to my office.

I really hope Izumi doesn't try anything today...

I unlock the office door, and set my satchel on my desk, and I glance over at Kazuki's empty desk. This is going to be quite a lonely day.

As soon as I sat down and got my.self situated, there was a knock at the door.

"Come in" I say, and Izumi walks in.

"Well good morning." He says, with the same old smile I remember.

I smile back and get my papers ready to work, and then sit down.

He walks over to the desk, and leans his hand on it, he pushes his glasses up and looks intently at me.

"I want to talk" He says, getting quite serious.

I swallow the fear, and nod my head, showing that he can go ahead and talk.

He pulls a chair up, and sits close to me.

"I want to be friends again, and since you have Kazuki, I decided that we should try to forget about the past and focus on the future. You and I and work together, and I want to be close to you again, whether or not we're dating, I just like being around you, I've been here for a year, and all this time I finally found the courage to finally say something to you." He says.

I'm actually surprised that he didn't try to make a move. When we were in high school, he was a sly and rebellious guy. He was also the sweetest guy too.

"I'd like that too." I say.

"So, how about we go get coffee once the shift ends?" He asked. I nodded, and he walked out of the room

"See you later." He says with a smile.
