A few shots later and I was literally beaming with adrenaline. I was on the dance floor with James, jumping up and down to the music and swaying side to side. His hands were on my waist as we danced, he seems unable to let go. A new song comes on, and he starts grinding against me. But I wasn't complaining, he was actually a nice guy. Now, don't get me wrong; I wasn't drunk, just simply tipsy. I was well aware of my actions, and I know im defiantly not a lightweight. I know how to handle my drinks.

"Someone's staring." James whispers in my ear, but he doesn't seem to mind that someone was staring, he probably thinks that the someone who was staring was jealous.

And I hope that's what im doing, making a certain someone jealous. I was about to turn my head, but James lifts up his hand and places his thumb and finger under my chin and gently turns my head around, forcing me to look at him.

"Don't look, you'll make it obvious."

"Alright then," I smirk, still moving about with James but not dancing as much as we was, "What's he look like?"

"He?" James raises an eyebrow, "It's a woman."

Im genuinely surprised. I thought it was Adam who was staring, l mean, he was staring at me when I was at the bar. I turn my head around to see who it was who was looking, and it was no one other than Adams girlfriend.

I take a quick glance at her. She's wearing a bright, orange dress with black heels. Her dress was so tight, I was pretty sure her boobs would pop out due to the pressure from her dress. Her hair was tied back into a pony tail, and he had bright makeup on. I turn back around before it seem's like I was staring at her. I hate to admit it, but beside the heavy makeup and the bad fashion taste, she was pretty. Plus, her boobs were way bigger than mine, no matter if they were fake or not.

She was pretty, and it made me hate her more.

"You okay?" James asks, becoming concerned. I give him a smile.

"I'm fine," I start, "It's a little crowded in here, why don't we go outside?"

"Sure." He smiles and agrees, takes hold of my hand and leads me out of the crowded club. When we get outside, I see a stranger smoking a cigarette. I look to the floor, and see a puddle of puke. I cringe, and turn to face something more prettier than the ugly streets.

I smile at James to let him know Im fine. The breeze on my face makes me feel better than the heated mess inside. I didn't mind it in the club, I liked dancing and having a few drinks with James- but seeing her staring at me, I don't know, it must have made me angry.

The fact that Adam left me for her.

"Are you okay?" James asks for the second time. The man who was smoking walks back into the club so we were alone. I nod at him.

"Uh, yeah."

"You seem upset..."

"It's fine," I reassure him, "I'm okay, really."

He sighs, then kneels down and sits crossed legged on the floor against the wall (Not by the puke, obviously.) I look around awkwardly at his actions, then look down at him.

"What are you doing?"

He taps the floor next to him, "Come sit with me."

I look around again, seeing if anyone was around. I literally just met this guy so if he did anything weird, such as sitting on the floor near some disgusting beer puke and asking me to join him, I should walk away. He could be anyone, I know nothing about him.

"You sitting down or what?"

I hesitate, but slide down the wall and sit next to him nonetheless. I feel the cold floor hit against my bare legs as I sat down, making me try to cover my legs with my dress more. I looked at him. He was twiddling with his fingers.

"...Chloe..."

"Yes?"

He looks at me, and frowns "I know that face."

I raise my eyebrow, "...That face?"

"You're in love with someone, aren't you?" He questions, "I'm just your distraction."

I'm confused. I'm upset over Adam leaving me, and I did have feelings for him but as far as I know I didn't love him. I lean my head against the wall and sigh, seeing my breath in the cold air. I wasn't sure what to say.

"James..." Is how I start, still feeling awkward and unsure on what to say, "I, uh, I do like someone, and I came here tonight to take my mind of things." I don't tell him I was here to make Adam jealous, is anything 'taking my mind of things' could be used as a saying for 'you're my distraction'. I turn my head towards him, "If anything, I started out as a distraction too."

He lets out a chuckle, "Is that how you fell for your lover?"

I chuckle too, and start to mock his words with mine, although im sure lover meant when the other person liked you in return, which for me isn't my case, "I liked my lover before it happened."

He pauses. It's quite for a moment, "I recently got out of a relationship too. She cheated on me, I was heartbroken. If anything you're my distraction too."

I give him a short laugh, "Ah, look at that, we have more in common than I thought."

"So, the girl you like, how come you can't be with her-"

"Girl?"

"Well, yeah." He blinks at me, confused, "The girl you stared at before you said you wanted to leave. I assumed-"

"No no no no no! Trust me, I don't love her." I hiss, "I don't love anyone."

He laughs, "Course."

"Im being serious! I like the guy she's dating; not her."

"...Oh."

"Yeah, oh."

Its quiet again for literally a few seconds. He turns to face me and we stare at each other before bursting out laughing. I wasn't sure why the idea that he thought I loved a woman was funny, maybe it was the mistake that he made about me that made us laugh.

"What a night." I begin again, still laughing and wiping a tear that was about to fall from my eye. We both slow down our laughs, then he stands up and helps me to stand as well.

"I don't know about you, but I really don't feel like going back in there." He nods his head at the door.

"Me neither."

"How about I give you my number? I'd love to see you again." He smiles. I smile too and read out my number as he types it into his phone. After that, he puts his phone back in his pocket, but then pulls it back out in realisation, "I need to phone a taxi. Want a lift too? I can just text my friends that I left."

"No, its fine. I should probably go home with my friends. Some of them are staying sober tonight, and some of them are not, so..."

"Right, of course." He nods, then kisses my cheek, "I'll see you soon then?"

I can't help but to plasted a massive smile on my face, "Yep." I chuckle, and walk back into the club, seeing Katie and Joel immediately.
