Just Friends (A Adam Pitts Fanfic)

Chapter Seventeen:

So it was Saturday, time for the plan. James was meeting me at mine in half hour so i decided to get out of bed and get ready. Half hour after James knocked the door. Andy, Joel and Katie was coming too so we can make sure the plan worked. I was feeling kind of guilty and mean for what i was about to do, but he left me no choice since he was dating her again. This is for his benefit and the sooner he realises that the better. 

We knew Adam and his girlfriend go to this cafe nearly every Saturday at exactly the same time before Adam went to the studio, so we knew they would be here.

We got to the cafe and took are seats ready. not long after Adam and his girlfriend came in. We were in the corner so that they couldn't see us. James saw Adam's girlfriend go to the toilet, so he went to the toilet as well, so he could bump into her. 

**James POV**

I stand outside the male toilets, waiting for her to walk out. When she does I pretend to walk out as well, and she collides with me, dropping her phone to the floor.

"God damn it! Watch where you're goin-" She pauses when she looks up to me, and blushes. 

"What was that?" I raise my eyebrow jokingly, then reach down to pick up her phone. I hand it to her, and she takes it bashfully.

"Nothing, sorry." She replies, smiling at me, "I'm sorry for banging into you, you here with anyone?"

"A few friends," I answer, "You?"

"Just a friend." She smiles back, biting her lip and looking down, "Well, it's complicated."

"You're here with your boyfriend?"

"Well, we kissed but we never made it official." She lies and chuckles nervously, "So, I don't think he should see us talking."

"But, you want to talk to me?"

She nods, smiling flirtatiously. She reaches her hand up and places it on my arm, slightly stroking it and feeling my muscles, "What's your name?"

**Chloe's POV.**

Me, Andy, Joel and Katie all sat waiting nervously. Andy and Joel were going to go over to Adam to try to get him to go to the toilet. After a while of leaving Adam's girlfriend and James talking, Andy and Joel went over to Adam. 

They were going to ask him if he was on his own, then when he replies with 'No, I'm with the girlfriend' then they were going to say where is she. When he tells them she went to the toilet but was gone a while, they tell him to check on her. I see Adam get up and walk to the toilets. My heart started to race. 

**Jame's POV.**

She was getting so close to my face, whispering things into my ears like, 'you look like you go to the gym often'. I knew this was the way she flirted, which most guys would be drooling over, but I knew it was her act to get to boys.

I saw Adam coming around the corner, his girlfriend was still running her hands through my hair.

He fake coughed loud to stop what was happening. His girlfriend took her hands off me.

"Oh! Um, this isn't what it looks like, babe, he made a move on me!" she said to him acting all innocent and sweet. She then gave me a disgusted look, slapped me around the face and went over to Adam, grabbing his arm. 

"Ouch." I replied, my cheek stinging. Adam didn't know what to say. He looked angry and disappointed. He looked over at me and for a moment I thought he would punch me, but instead he glanced back down at his girlfriend.

"Whether he made a move on you or not, you looked like you were fine with it" he replied, pushing her away. He then walked off. We both followed him. He grabbed his coat from the chair he was sitting on and went to leave. Thats when Chloe came over to him. 

"Are you ok Adam?" she asked him.

"You did this, didnt you?" he asked her.

"What? Did what?"

"She," he said, pointing to his girlfriend, still pissed off at her, "was flirting with another guy!"

"And you think I'm the reason for that? I didn't make your girlfriend do that, she did it by choice!"

"But you got him to flirt back, didn't you?"

Chloe paused, and my face fell. I know she can't lie to his face, "Erm well, I guess but it was for your benefit, so you see how she really is. She cheated on you before and you just forgot about that and took her back when she came running."

"So to show me you decided to get a guy to flirt with her?" he said confused.

"I'm sorry, i just wanted to show you what she was like. He flirted, but he didn't force her to flirt back." she replied.

"It was you, i told you she was jealous Ads, lets go back home and forget about it." His girlfriend frowned, grabbing his arm again.

"GET OFF ME!" he shouted pushing her away more forcefully. "Chloe was right, you are a cheat who is going to just keep on cheating and flirting with others." he said. Chloe smiled, but it didn't last long. "Look if we break up i'm not going to go back to you, what we did was a mistake, i was vulnerable and you took advantage of that." he said, trying to be quiet so other random people don't hear. You could tell by her face she was upset by his words.

**Chloe's POV.**

"I took advantage of that? It was you who came up with the idea, and it was you who wanted to do it," I paused awkwardly, not sure on what to say, "Over and over again."

"I was drunk, i didn't do it because i wanted to, lots of people do things what they regret when there drunk." he said. I rolled my eyes, he wasn't always drunk.

"I'm so confused right now." Andy mumbles, listening to us all bickering.

"Babe, please, let's just you and me talk about this privately?" His girlfriend tries to tug him away, but he just groans and turns around to face her.

"I've had enough of this. We're through, okay? Now piss off."

Adam's girlfriend blushes, and her facial expression turns into anger.

"No one breaks up with me!" She spits, pointing a finger at him.

"I just did."

"You- you," She pauses, not sure on what to say, "Wait until the media heres about that! Adam Pitts drugs and takes advantage of Isabelle young!"

"Ah, so that's her name." Katie mumbles. "Should be Is a cow."

"Shut up!" Spit comes flying out her mouth as she yells at Katie, causing a few people to stare.

"No one will believe that." Adam says. I feel sorry for him, he obviously loved this woman, and now I literally helped them split up.

Isabelle makes a noise of anger and storms past us all, shaking her head and cursing words as she left. I sigh.

"Adam please, you know I only did it because I cared-"

"I don't even want to talk to you. I don't even what to look at you right now. Any off you, for that matter." He speaks, and I stand there, not knowing what to say. I frown, and feel my weak side showing.

"...Fine." 

"That's not the way to talk to a girl you know, not one which has been there for you even though you've been a complete arse to her in return. Don't go crawling back to her when you want to, because i'll make sure she doesn't, you pratt." James defended. I smiled at him, but decided to turn around and leave. I wasn't sure how I expected the plan to go, but i didn't really expect it to go like that. I expected Adam to just realise how bad his girlfriend was and how we care for him. 

Katie follows after me straight away.

And Joel, Andy and James follow after me too.

But Adam doesn't.
