Just Friends (A Adam Pitts Fanfic)

Chapter Twenty One:

It had been months since me and Adam started dating. We were all waiting impatiently in the waiting room waiting to find out the news. A doctor came up to us and said that two of us were aloud to go into the room. Andy and Ryan told me and Adam to go in first, so we walked with the doctor into the room. I walked over to Katie as she was holding her baby.

"It's a girl!" she said to me smiling. I walked over to view Katie's and Joel's daughter who was so beautiful, she looked so much like Katie and had Joels ears and lips. She had the cutest button nose and tiny hands and feet.

"Do you want to hold her?" she asked me. I hesitate for a moment before I said yes. As I held her I asked them if they had thought of a name yet, as they were pretty sure they were expecting a boy, but obviously things turned out differently.

"Well we liked the name Rachel and Katie liked the name Allie, but then we finally decided on Darcy. " Joel said, which I thought was the cutest name ever!

"That is so cute, Darcy Peat." I quietly squealed, looking down at the small human in my arms. I was so happy for my best friend and Joel. "Do you want to hold her?" Joel asked Adam, and he nodded, grinning like an idiot.

Adam stood up and Adam sat where I was sitting previously at the end of Katies bed. I gently put Darcy into his hands, and he cradled her gently. I brought my camera out, ready to snap some photos. Joel and Katie will be looking back on these photos when they're older, wondering where the time had gone. The first photo I took was of Adam holding Darcy, which turned out so cute. I knew he would be good with kids.

"Hello Darcy, I'm your uncle Adam and this-" He pauses, jabbing a finger into my side jokingly,"-is your auntie Chloe." he said as i stood by him and Darcy. I was so proud of Katie and Joel, i'd already offered to baby sit for them whenever they needed it. After a while Katie finally told us both to piss off so Andy and Ryan could come in, but I gave her and Joel and friendly kiss on the cheek and a hug before leaving, not forgetting to kiss Darcy's forehead. Adam kissed Katies cheek, and gave Joel a so called man hug.

A recap on the "dating Adam life" it was going really well and we were happy which was the main thing. We were one of those couples who were like best friends but dating at the same time. It was great, no- perfect in fact. Like obviously mine and Adam's relationship isn't perfect, but it was better than I could ask for, so it was my perfect. It was imperfectly perfect, if that made sense.

Everything went well. A month after Darcy was born me, Adam and Andy came over to babysit so Joel and Katie could go out for dinner.

Exactly four months later Adam had a break from work, so he decided to surprise me with tickets for Cyprus. That was a blast! We stayed in a lovely hotel, swam in the pool, went to the beach, went shopping, had a few drinks, got drunk once in our hotel room and had a massive pillow fight which turned out into World War 1- but ended in some pretty great sex.

When we came back from holiday Adam and the rest of the band, Lawson, wrote more songs. They wrote a love song which wasn't really aimed at anyone in particular, just all the people that the band members love. Like, relationships, family, fans, ect.

And I was finally happy. I was finally at ease with everything and everyone, and I wanted to stay like this with Adam forever. We seem to be more than just friends after all.
