chapter 9: The Start of the Journey(And by start I mean not even close)

How am I ever going to tell my parents about this! I thought as I paced back and forth in my room, what am i going to do! Okay I just need to clam down (deep sigh) okay hmmmmm, I'm calling Audrey for advise, maybe she will know what to do.

"Audrey, are you there?"

"Yeah, I'm here. What's up?"

"Well, how am I going to tell my parents about the map we found and how am I going to miss school and ho-"

"Okay whoa whoa whoa slow down. Listen we are not telling anybody about this okay?" she said.

"Wait what?!" I said surprised.

"Amanda! Dinner is in fifteen minutes!" Mom called.

"Okay Mom!" I yelled back.

"Okay Audrey, so I can't tell my parents. Why?"

"Well, think of it, if you do tell your parents, they won't let you go and will worry about you."

"Audrey, they are going to worry about me anyway because I won't be home,"

"True, true, but how else are we going to do this?"

"That's why I called you in the first place. Do you think Happy knows?"

"Hmm... maybe. You should call and ask. Oh and you have to figure out what his name is."

"I know, but the thing is... I don't have his number," I said softly.

"WHAT! Really? Okay well, maybe we will ask at school. Okay come by my house after you eat dinner and we will talk more, that sound good?"

"Alrighty!"

"Well I will see you soon. My parents will definitely let me go, bye!"

"Bye!" I hung up the phone and headed downstairs for dinner.
