Chapter 13: Meeting Diego

"So, are you going to open the box or what?" Happy said. I still don't know his name.

"Hold your horses I'm opening it," Audrey says.

"Look!" I yell. I pick up the item in the box. "It...it's a...compass?" I was expecting a bit more than that.

"Yes, yes it is," said a strange voice.

"WHO SAID THAT?'' asked Audrey worriedly.

"My name is Diego," a man said stepping out of the shadows. "I believe I sent you folks the letter?"

"How did you find us?''

"We are in the middle of the forest and my house is not far from here. Anyways, I'm here to help you with the map and box."

"Oh good!"

"I have one question though, how did you all find the box and map in the first place?"

"To sum it up," Audrey started, "we were at a party and whoosh it fell from the sky and almost hit my friend Amanda here."

"The map also said 'Everlasting Love' on it."

Diego had a look on his face like he was thinking. I personaly think he knew why it said that but I could be wrong.

"And the box?"

"Same thing," I said.

"Hmm... sounds promissing to me," Diego said shrugging his shoulders.

"Yeah, so, how are we going to get to our destination?" Happy asked.

"None other than follow the map. You all have gotten far, farther than I would have gone."

"Well, where do we go next?" Audrey asked impatiently.

"It says to go to 132 Forrest Ave. which is the park across the street from my house. Let's get a move on!" Diego said.
