• Mason's POV•

Veronica helped me with the rest of the math worksheet. I knew exactly how to do the work I just wanted an excuse to talk to her. When the whole group was done I went and turned in our papers to the teacher. When I came back I put my arm around Veronica's chair. She wasn't leaning on my arm/the chair.

The group was asking my mate questions to get to know her. While they were asking her questions I could feel her relax and start to lean into my arm. I couldn't help but have a soft smile on my face. I have been wanting a mate ever since my parents told me about them. I haven't even kissed a girl yet because I've been waiting for my mate, my queen.

I found out that my mate has no favorite colors, she is an only child, was born April 3rd, and surprisingly lives alone in an apartment.

"I wonder why my mate is living alone. And where are her parents?

*Ring*
Before I could think anymore about Veronica's living situation the bell rang. I had English next.

Before we left Skylar looked at Veronica's schedule and looked sad.
"Aw you have English while I have cooking class."

I was suddenly looking forward to English. I new none of the rest of our friends had English so it would just be me and Veronica.

"Really?!Does anyone else have English? I'm still new to the school so I don't know where to find it at." Veronica panicked.

We had got up and left the classroom so we could talk in the hallway.

Veronica looked at Noah and Liam but they shook their heads no.

I was glad I had another class with her but I hated seeing her so upset.

"Well I guess today must be  your lucky day because I have English next with you." I grinned and put my arm around her shoulders.

I couldn't mark her yet so this was the closest thing I could do to let other males know she was mine.

I expected her to be happy but she looked even more nervous than before.

Why would she be nervous?

Wow it's been a long time. I'm on a road trip so i was like i should write another chapter. So what do y'all think about this book so far? I'm actually really curious.
