Mizu City, the city held down by the government. In others words, no one can escape since Mizu City is quarintined.
"Heh! That'll teach'em a lesson." Caramel scoffs at the two beatened up bodies slumping against the back wall of the school. I simply nodded once.
"Just what were they thinking when they tried to mess with us. Right, Rua?"
"Who knows. But thanks for saving me guys." I gestured towards my friends.
"Don't sweat it. We're pals remember?" Yamato pats me at the back as I stood up with his support.
We disinfected our flesh wounds and headed to the front yard. Of course, it would never end up as a stroll in the park. I peaked out from the corner.
Ever since children began disappearing mysteriously, people began to suspect each other. That's why everyone was so violent.
"How's it looking?" Caramel whispers.
"Four of them. No there's five." I reported. "That girl in the middle of them must be the leader."
Yamato immediately got into his running stance."Looks like we have to parkour our way through."
If you can't fight...If you're weak, you'll never survive this place. I learned that from experience.
"Got it!" We watched them like hawks. Once their backs were turned, thats when we strike.
"GO!"
They noticed us right away and tried to block us. I'm going left since Yamato signaled right and Caramel charged dead center. I have to admit, she was the strongest out of us all.
"You kids think you're so badass." The guy readied his bat in a chopping stance. His moves are so predictable. I guess I have to slow down on my running or else...
The bat dug right into the ground in front of me. Yikes.
"Hmm...but now I can just jump over him." While he was distracted with trying to get the weapon unstuck, I used it as a stepladder, climbed my way to the top of his head and....
"What are you-?!!!" ...launched myself off. Haha! See you later you stupid third years. Blehhhh.
Panting, I stopped at the school gates. Yamato was catching up and Caramel took the guy down for me...including the leader. Then it's settled. I swiftly twirled around as my hair fanned behind me.
"Time to head towards my secret hideout!"

"Welcome to Anime Paradise!" Mr. Iroh greeted me. "Ah it's you, Rua. What would you like?"
"I hear that the new Hunter x Hunter merchandise came out!" My eyes gleamed with hearts and sparkles. This is what happens when I get excited. My fangirl mode.
Iroh chuckled. "Where'd you hear that from?"
"I have my sources. Anyway, may I please see them???!" I waited in anticipation. He dramatically lifted the red curtain off the counter revealing key-chains, fanart posters, figurines and even wallpaper.
Is that a body pillow?
I inhaled. This. Is. What. I. Live. For.
I regretfully shifted my gaze to the price tags which made me die a little on the inside.
"Uhm, discount?"
"Uhm, No."
"Awwwww." At least I tried.
"But if you work here, I might give that into consideration." He suggested for the tenth time but my answer will always be the same.
"My friends will make fun of me."
"But you got hurt by being with them." Iroh pointed at the band-aid on my cheek. Well it could've been worse! The reason why those second-years attacked me was because Caramel stole something from them. In the end she helped me get rid of them so it all worked out.
The old man sighs and left the counter. "Rua, let's go to the shrine."
I gave him a quizzical look. "Eh? Why so sudden?"
He simply smiled and answered indirectly. "If you come with me, I have an even better Hunter x Hunter present for you."
A gasp escapes my mouth, "Count me in!"
We climbed our way up to the old shrine. Despite how ragged and rough the city was, the shrine seemed to give a sense of harmony and peace. I see why any old man would like to come here.
Since I dont like standing, I sat down on a rock and silently watch him pray. It was weird to see someone pray...I wonder what it feels like.
"Rua, do you believe in magic?" Mr. Iroh spoke with his back facing me.
I didn't even need to think about it, "No. Magic doesn't exist." They only exist in anime. Well, some of them.
"I guess you're right." He turned around slowly to meet my eyes. "Then, do you believe in the Hunter x Hunter world?"
Eh? I began imagining what it'd be like to go into the anime world except for Attack on Titan. There's noooooo way I want to be with those oversized cannibals. "Hmmmmm, I wouldn't say it's impossible. But I'm probably just saying that because I'm an otaku haha."
"Then that will be your answer."
The wind began to howl through my ears and my body jolted out of instinct. I rushed towards Iroh in case if anything happens.
"What's going on, Iroh-san?" I yelled so my voice will be heard over the strong wind and the chimes.
"Your adventure is just about to begin, Rua."
My adventure? What's he talking about?
With that, the gates of the shrine busted open and something pulled me in. I was falling. The last thing I saw was Iroh's smiling face before the doors closed on me.
