Ok, it's been some while again that I took a little break from this. Anyways, Y'all remember the Pandora ad with Gorillaz when they're in a drag race. In the middle of the video, 2D looked frustrated, obviously by banging his fist on the steering wheel because Murdoc is taking the lead. So at the end, he had the confident look on his face. And that's what gave me an idea for this one-shot. Set in phase 4 after the Pandora shooting. *disclaimer* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After 2D crossed the finish line in 2nd before the satanist, he slammed on the brake.
'Can't believe Murdoc made it 1st place! I swear, that bastard bass player must've cheated!' 2D was glaring.
The blue-haired gets out of his vehicle and slams the car door shut in frustration. Seething with rage at the Satanist man, similar to what he did after the missiles landed on them and Murdoc beating the shit out of 2D thinking it's his fault during the '19-2000' music video. Just then a young Japanese guitarist walks up to him and sits on top of his car roof.
"Hey, you ok? You seemed pretty pissed when Murdoc crossed the finish line first." Noodle points out.
"No shit. God, I sometimes hate that sod!" 2D said.
"Still, at least you're in second place after me." Noodle said.
"Yeah, well that's easy for you to say. Besides, you are the ambassador of Jaguar Racing." 2D snorts.
"True. But this isn't about a competition, it's about feeling the rush of energy going right past you." Noodle explains.
2D looked down with an arm cross.
"And, I thought you were pretty good on those wheels, like a speed demon." She tucked a piece of her hair strand behind her ears.
2D then looks up at her.
"You fink so?" He asks.
"Would I ever lie?" Noodle does make a point about this, even though she and 2D never had a conflict with each other that much making has their bond very strong.
"Fanks. Even I knew then you're splendid on the wheels too." 2D smiles at her.
"Duh! I always am, silly." Noodle rolled her eyes then giggles.
"You may know how to say good words, but sometimes you can be the worst." 2D jokes.
"How about this, you and me we race till dusk. Only for fun, no competition. In on this?" Noodle suggests.
"As long as you don't cheat like that arsehole over there." 2D smirks.
"Then it's a date." Noodle winks then hop off the roof and proceeds in walking towards to Russel to talk to him.
'Noodle is quite the hardcore she is and always knows how to say good motivational advice.' 2D smiled lightly and gets inside his car to play his tune on his playlist from his touch phone and to take a smoke break. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ First one-shot in 2018!
