When Gormac had finished explaining everything to Jack, he had crawled back inside Jesse. Jack and Jesse than silently waited in their car for Marion. Their car was a 1969 chevrolet camero that was once their fathers. He had loved this car until he had died.

"What should we call them?" Jack asked suddenly

"Call what?"

"Those ghost-ghoul things that had crawled out of us. What should we call them?"

"Well, mine is called Gormac."

"Not that kind of name! I ment like a species." Jack yelled

Jesse thought about it for a minute, when he had an idea

"How about our ghoul-soul? That way it sounds like a superpower!"

Jack nodded his head in agreement, than Marion had gotten into the car and they all left. The ride had been mostly smooth, until a rattling had come from the car. Jack suggested that they pull over, so he could look at the problem. Jack and Jesse always travelled into area's colonized by humans with pants on, so they would not look like freaks. Jack and Jesse were always made fun of, because they were the only satyrs for miles around, and their parents were dead. This had left a lasting impression on them.

When Jack had finally opened the hood, he had noticed something strange. Nothing was connected.
"This car shouldn't have started, since everything is disconnected..." Jack thought to himself. It was then that he had saw the battery moving, scraping along the engine. Jack hesitated to lift it up, but when he did; he saw nothing. However, he was able to hear something behind him.

"GREMLIN!" Jesse yelled louder than he had ever before

"What?" Jack questioned

"GREMLIN ON THE BATTERY!" Jesse yelled again

Jack dropped the battery, when he saw it running. It was already too far for Jack to catch up to. Without the battery, they wouldn't be able to start their car up again. So the three of them hitchhiked, with marion morphing into a human form. They had finally caught the attention of a kind trucker, who than pulled over.

"Don't tell me where you are going, because I know it will be Cressey's school." The trucker said

"How did you know that?" Marion asked

"I'm a telepath!" The trucker replied excitedly. "And it is also me, Gormac" The trucker said as he slowly transformed and split into Gormac, and Jack's ghoul soul named Slayger. The three had climbed into the truck, which was larger on the inside, and they all went to Lake Superior. When they had gotten there, Gormac and Slayger crawled back into Jack and Jesse. Marion was the first to walk up to the edge and whisper the entrance password. It was than that she disappeared.

"Is... that supposed to happen? Because that doesn't seem right." Jack whispered

"Who cares!" Jesse mocked as he went up and whispered the entrance password, than he too disapeared. Jack was the last person, alone. He creeped up to the edge of the lake, with his shoes skimming the water. He quietly whispered to himself  "Possumus... aperire... ostium ad caelum.” when everything went silent. Jack was trembling, when he was thrown into the air.
