Clawdia's POV

I woke up with a start; I was covered in cold sweat again after another nightmare. I don't always have them, but when I do they're always the same. In the dream I'm crying out to someone I love and I'm scared. There's screams coming from all around me and I see glimpses of people’s faces, somehow they look familiar. But I can't say that I remember ever seeing or knowing them. I don't know what the dreams mean though. Could they be old memories that I'd forgotten, from my life before I awoke without a memory? Nonetheless, I brushed it off as I threw the covers off and got up and out of bed. The sheets were soaked so I pulled them off and place fresh clean sheets back on in their place, tossing the wet ones into the wash basket that the cleaners would come to collect ever second or third day, depending on the load they would collect from each floor. They would tell me how clean I was compared to some of the guys that lived in the building and were always polite to me, so in turn I was too. It would make them smile saying that I made their job a whole lot easier and more enjoyable.

I closed to top on the basket and looked at myself in the small mirror on the wall on the other side of the room. I sighed as I decided I should shower before the day started and proceeded to walk over to my bedside drawers and pulled out my daily outfit I would wear for everything then grabbed a fresh towel. I glanced at the small digital clock on top of the drawers, seeing it was only 03:24am and the alarm wouldn't go off for another four hours, I glanced out the window. "It's way too early to be up, not even the birds have woken up yet.

" I stated as I voiced my thoughts to no one. "Shower time, then I'll head to cafeteria and make a tea." I always preferred tea over coffee. It just tasted better and wasn't a bitter.

I was glad I didn’t have to walk far to the restroom and showers. Luckily there were always separate male and female toilets; but unfortunately there were was only one room full of showers since SOLDIER was an all-male organization excluding me. I was the only female SOLDIER and the guys would always make fun of me. I didn’t mind since they were only joking around and I would joke with them most of the time which at first came as a surprise to them. But when they took things too far and got a little out of hand I would stand my ground and put them back in their place. Most understood and there were no hard feeling, except some wouldn’t get the message or couldn’t take a hint thinking they had done nothing wrong. I just assumed they were a little slow and a bit special in the head. The other guys would laugh when I voiced my opinion, so I guess that’s just how most guys are, all about fun while seeming more brawn than brain. But I only had three close friends who always got along, looking out for one another and would sort out our differences one way or another.

I got to the showers fairly fast and instantly turned on the taps, placing my clean clothes on a shelf on the wall opposite the shower, the towel on a hook on the outside and stripped off the clothes I was wearing, dumping them on the ground where I stood. I held my hand under the water to test the temperature and it was perfect, so I stepped in under ad let it flow over and soak me to the core. After a few minutes of just standing there I pick up the soap, rubbing it in-between both hands. Placing the bar back on the holder it sat on and scrubbed myself down with the soap and bubbles on my hands. I couldn’t be bothered with my hair at this point in time; it didn’t need a wash just yet so I stepped back under the water and rinsed away all of the soap suds. Then I heard a familiar voice.

“You’re up early.” It was Sephiroth and I at this moment am truly glad that I chose the shower with a curtain. “Having nightmares again?” He asked.

“Yeah, unfortunately I am.” I sighed turning the taps off. “The same dream as every other time. But there’s nothing I can really do about it. And might I add, I’ve never seen you up this early?” I asked as I reached my arm out trying to feel and reach for my towel.
