Third POV

"Infinite in mystery is the gift of the goddess,

We seek it thus and take to the sky.

Ripples on the water's surface,

The wondering soul knows no rest." Clawdia spoke as she read for the book Loveless.

"Spoken like a true poet. You truly are a wonder."

 "Thanks Genesis."

"You had to read it out loud didn't you?" Angeal groaned.

 "What's wrong with that?"

"We already get enough of it from Genesis."

"Haha I guess you do have a point there." She scratched the back of her head sheepishly then noticed the expression on her auburn haired friend. "No I didn't mean it in a bad way, I wasn't agreeing completely with him!" She panicked waving her hands in front of herself.

"Yeah I know." And she sighed with relief.

"You had me for a moment there thinking you were going to attack me."

"And who said I wouldn't" He smirked as he drew out his red bladed sword and brought it down upon the unsuspecting girl, Sephiroth who was also there leapt forward and with his own blade moving it in an upward motion. The blades made a loud cling noise as they made contact with metal.

"Ah come on now, two against one isn't exactly fair now is it?" Clawdia giggled as she spoke, her sword diagonally flat across the top of her back protected from flesh being sliced open. In one fast movement both the males were pushed back before charging forward and repeatedly clashing with the talented female. "Hey Angeal!" She called out. "Why don't you join the fun? Make it two versus two?" He grinned as he stood and picked up a standard SOLDIER buster blade and charged toward the group to join in. The clashing of blades rang through out their ears as the battle went on, Clawdia smirking as she took on Genesis as her opponent whilst Angeal struggled with Sephiroth. "Come on Gen' you've got to try harder if you want to land a blow on me."

"With that attitude of yours it's sure to happen soon." He retorted back. There was a sudden wave of pain that shot thoughout the small frame of the girl. With one strength filled swing of her sword she deflected Genesis' attack causing his sword to leave his hand. Clawdia dropped to the ground and wrapped her arms around herself as she trembled and whimpered. "Clawdia!" He panicked slightly gaining the other two males attention who then ran to her side.

 "What's going on?" Angeal asked.

"I don't know. She just fell to the ground."

"Don't worry, I'm fine." She said as she tried to rise to her feet but failed to do so. "AAHHHH!"

"We have to take her to the infirmary now." Sephiroth finally spoke up and lifted the girl and walked at a quickening pase. Genesis and Angeal leading the way. Upon entering the white room Sephiroth placed her on a vacant bed then was followed be the voice of a doctor.

 "What happened here?"

"We were sparing and she just collapsed in pain." Genesis explained without hesitation.

"Right you two need to wait outside, I need you to stay." All three were confused but complied with the doctor. "I need to check all her stats and need you to fill me in on her most recent history."

"All I know is that her name is Clawdia she's 15 years old highly skilled and as far as I know is healthy." Angeal spoke with haste.

"What about where she came from, family everything?"

"I don't know, but we met in Nebelheim, my home town. That's all anybody knows."

"How strange." You can go now, I need to run some tests." The doctor said as he picked up an empty syringe ready to take some of her blood. Without question Angeal left the room to tell the others what was what going to happen. "Could it be? The subject from the abandoned plant?"

'It's completely dark, why? So much darkness.' Clawdia thought. Then there was flashes of light and voices that echoed. "Your an ungrateful little pig. What are you crying about this time."

"I'm trying not to but your being mean."

"I am not. You're just being a souk. Why don't you grow up!"

"Now piss of out of my sight."

"I hate this. I hate being here."

"I WISH I WAS IN A DIFFERENT WORLD!" The words were loud and shock ran through her body as she sat up breathing heavily.

"Ah, you're finally awake I see." Clawdia turned to see the face of the doctor who stood in the door way of the room she lay in and recignized his face instantly.

"Professor Gast! What are you doing here?"

"Keeping watch over you. I was waiting for you to wake up so I could speak with you." He approached, pulling out a chair and taking a seat beside the be she lay on. I had to run a few tests to try and find out what caused your collapse in pain. As it turns out, you have an incredibly large amount of Mako running through your system. The percentage was so high that your very being is almost pure Mako." He explained.

"So, what does that mean?" Clawdia asked confused as she sat in thought.

"It means that you were completely submerged in a labritory tank a fair distance from Nebelheims town for a number of years, how you are still alive I have know idea. You are incredibly lucky."

"I was a guiniepig for experiments? How is that lucky in anyway?"

"The fact that you're still alive Clawdia." He stated. "Now with your permission I'd like to run more tests-"

"And become a test dummy again?! No way!"

"I didn't mean it in that way, I want to help you in order to prevent this from happening again." She sat in thought for a moment about what he was offering her before answering.

"To prevent something like this happening again right?" He nodded in reply. "What about if other scientists find out, I'll be dragged away and stuck in another tube."

"Don't worry, your secret is safe with me. I will be doing this under the raidar so no one else will know except for you and me."

"Alright, I trust you. But if you  go back on your word..."

"Don't worry, just me and you." Clawdia let out a sigh of relief as she sat up. "I'll need you to come visit me in the lab regularly in order for this to work."

"Alright, if that's all, am I free to go now?" He stood from his chair moving out of the way for her to leave as she pleased. "Thank you Professor, I'll see you soon."

"Tomorrow please just after mid day." And with that said she left the room and was headed in the direction of the training room knowing that her friends would be there.
