I wake up to Fliss looking down at me in fits of laughter.

"You're actually a walking cliche. Really, sensual dreams of Leonardo DiCaprio? You can't even make your imaginary sex life interesting." She says red in the face with amusement.

"Thanks for ruining it just when things were getting interesting." I yawn. "How did you even know what I was dreaming about you weirdo?" I ask getting up and checking my phone.

"You sleep-whisper very loudly." she responds.

"Great. Anyway its only eight? How are you even functioning, you were nowhere to be seen by one am?"

"Half the corridor is up. And it's only day 2 out of 7 of Freshers Week. Sorry but there aren't enough hours in the day for lazy mornings in, we have to make the most of this week before it's gone." She explains.

"You know so much about Freshers Week for a fresher." I say
"When it came to getting ready for Uni, Netflix's shitty American college films were my bestfriends." She replies.
"Touché. What're you thinking of the place so far?" I ask.

"Ugh. Heaven." she squeals. "To me its like an all you can eat buffet. I mean the boys are definitely one thing, but the girls here are just-"
"The girls?" I ask cutting her short.
"I guess I'm a free spirit." She replies
"Right. Noted."

"Calm down, Posh Spice, you're not my type" She teases.
"Rude." I laugh getting up to go and brush my teeth.

Freshly showered, me and Fliss make our way towards the kitchen. "So what I know is that we go and eat breakfast in the kitchen and dining room which is part of the common room at the end of the corridor." Fliss explains as we walk.
"Right. So it's ours only?" I ask.
"Yup, it's for our hallway only which is decent seeing as there's only 8 rooms with 2 people in each so- "
"Only 16 people. Cool."
"Yeah, well done, you can do basic Maths. Anyway, go in sociable because remember,  you're going have to put up with these guys for a whole year."

We walk into the common room which is warm and smells like fresh pancakes, there is a buzz of friendly chatter and laughter and though sporadic in the number of people, it feels lively. A girl runs up to Fliss and embraces her in a tight hug clearly an old friend or something. I leave them to reunite and grab a mug from a
cupboard.

"Ms Moody. I just keep running into you."
I look up and saw Raph looking a little less clean cut and slightly sexier and more rugged than last night. "Breakfast at Cambridge is quite the step up, I mean I'm beginning my first morning here with two mugs as opposed to just the one." I smirk, holding up the cup.
"Cute." He says pouring himself a cup of coffee.
"Stalking me now? If you wanted my address that badly you could've just asked." I reply.

"Look who it is."
I whip around, baffled when I hear Fliss's voice behind me.

"Er what?"
"Oh finally. I was wondering if you'd make an appearance again. Of course your dad came to the rescue again. Wait what would that make this then, attempt number 3?" Raph says back.
"Fück you." Fliss snaps her face turning bright red with anger.

You could practically visibly see steam curling around her head and forming into a ring above it. I slowly back away from the middle of their standoff so they could continue their weird little argument without distraction.

Call me crazy but you could clearly sense the sexual tension. Not even sense it, you could cut it with a knife.

I decide now would be as good a time as any to start getting to know people so I make my way towards a long table of people with my buttered crumpets and lukewarm coffee.

As I sat down I receive warm, inviting smiles from a couple of people but they all resume their conversations. I awkwardly bite into my crumpet and look up catching the gaze of a guy and girl sitting across from me.
