Alice's curiosity

The noises were still going on downstairs. 
As much as Alice was scared, she wanted to go and see what was causing all the noise. She knew it was a bad idea but she was just so curious. She gently slid out of bed and switched on her phone light. Every step she took away from her bed, the more her heart sped up. She cautiously tip-toed downstairs. She knew her house very well so as she went down, she carefully dodged the places in the floor that made creaking sounds.
CRASH! The noise was coming from the kitchen. As she crept up to the kitchen door, she felt her heart pounding against her chest like hell.
