At first, Namjoon couldn't comprehend the situation well. How can a person who's able to talk loud and clear able to hide their voice for years?

Its not a short span of time, its almost a quarter of his own life. Namjoon found it shocking, and still refuses to believe that fact but he thanked yoongi's mother for telling him, and of course, for trusting him.

tears filled the woman's eyes when he told namjoon on how a good brother yoongi is. when he learnt that his little brother were born mute, he was the first who worked hard on learning the sign language.

his mom admitted that it was hard at first; when they knew that Jimin were mute, they started noticing the disability when the boy turned 4, at first they thought jimin was just a kid whos a late speaker but it ended up the boy wasn't able to speak at all.

they had no proper guide about it, his mom exposed about his family financial problem at the time, they could barely afford a decent house for their family. the only way they were able to communicate with Jimin at that time were trying to understand the boy's body language.

by seeing the struggle, yoongi tried his best on learning the sign language at the age of seven. at first he won't tell his mother about how he knew about it, but his mother started to worry when yoongi kept on coming home late. so one day, his mom waited for him when the school ends - following the boy silently only to find out that he secretly went to a bakery shop nearby which was owned by an old lady. it turns out that the lady was the one teaching yoongi about it.

"I still remember how shocked he was upon seeing me in there." His mother chuckles, wiping her tears away from her cheeks. "despite being poor, i never taught my children to beg others for something." She smiles as she told the story.

Yoongi doesn't bring any money to school at that time, his mom would always pack some food for him to cut off some expenses. The reason that the little boy was so scared upon meeting his mother was because, he was enjoying a bread at the time.
It was then the old lady told her that yoongi never asked for the bread, it was her who offered yoongi the bread since the boy had always kept her company.

"m-mama, 'ontie taught me a n-new thin to-today!!!!"

the little yoongi then pointed at himself, he did an X across his chest; as if he's hugging someone before pointing at his mother. (this means I love you in ASL, tell me if I'm wrong though!)

His mother let out a soft chuckle as she tells Namjoon. "he's really a sweet boy.. he literally did everything to help his little brother communicate. I.. I don't understand why people bullied him until he became like that."

It is heartbreaking to know how cruel people are nowadays - don't they consider about others?

The pain yoongi had been feeling was never his fault yet hes still unable to cope with it up until now. Gosh, wheres the sense of humanity?
