so its true..

yoongi is able to talk. what Namjoon thought impossible was actually the truth and he doesn't know how to respond to it.

"n-namjoon,I'm s-shorry." (t/n: yoongi is suffering lateral lisp NOT frontal lisp. I'll explain this in the author's note later)

only now Namjoon could hear his lisp and stutter out loud, yet he was still in awe at yoongi's voice. His own words was caught in the back of his throat.

"I-i didn' know h-how to-"

Namjoon didnt let the elder finishes his own sentence when he saw the boy's teary eyes, he wrapped his arms around the boy tightly, smiling. "Its okay yoongi, its okay."

Yoongi was already crying by then. It is his first time talking to someone after so many years of hiding his voice — he was scared of namjoon's reaction but somehow, he doesn't feel a need to hide about his disability from Namjoon.

Only god knew how grateful he is when Namjoon didnt flip over nor feel betrayed when he heard yoongi's voice but, yoongi still have this one fear which is Namjoon leaving him.  Why? Because having a grown up friend with speech problem is embarrassing.

"I really love you hyung, please don't cry.." Namjoon soothes the elder's hair, wiping the boy's tears with his thumb.

Does namjoon really love him? Or is he saying this for the sole reason of comforting the elder?

The next day after revealing the truth was a painful day for yoongi, every minute felt so long and his eyes were glued on his window all the time, waiting for Namjoon's presence.

its already 3.00 p.m. now and he has yet to see Namjoon knocking on his door like he always do, will Namjoon really stop meeting him again?

ding-dong!

Yoongi's eyes immediately shot down to his window, finding Kim Namjoon waving frantically at him from the front door.

Yoongi had never ran this fast, he rushed to the door before greeting Namjoon with a tight hug. "hyuung~" Namjoon chuckled as he hug the boy back, they walked inside together.

"I th-thought you won' c-come back.."

Namjoon just shakes his head, hooking an arm around yoongi's shoulder as they head upstairs. "what kind of nonsense is that hm? You know I'll always stay with you."

"B-but yo-youre so late!" Yoongi whined only to be replied by a slight pinch against his cheek.

Once they reached yoongi's room, Namjoon immediately unravelled his own backpack, pulling a plastic bag out. "where's jimin?"

"In hish r-room." The boy blinked cluelessly at the sudden question. "w-want me d-do get h-him?"

Namjoon nods while scrambling through the plastic bag. yoongi immediately went to his little brother's room to call out for the younger, dragging him towards Namjoon.

a loud squeal fills the whole room when Namjoon presented a bracelet towards Jimin. "I bought some souvenirs for you~~"

Yoongi just chuckled at how excited the boy was when Namjoon were putting the bracelet on him. "isn't it pretty?"

jimin nods his head with full of excitement before giving namjoon a peck on his cheek. 'thank you' was  what he told Namjoon, grinning from ear to ear.

"I have something for you too yoongi." He pulled out a box, a pretty big one before handing it to the elder. yoongi immediately opened the box — smiling when his eyes met a necklace with a 'half of a heart' charm. it was then Namjoon pulled out the necklace that was under his shirt, showing other half of the heart. "oh! Oh! And look at this."

Namjoon took the necklace from yoongi, putting their charms together before a small 'click' could be heard. the two pieces of charm, forms a whole heart when they're combined. "it have some sort of magnet so yours could only match up with mine!!!"

Namjoon wiggles his brows before offering to put the necklace on yoongi, he did and yoongi felt so shy when Namjoon was doing so.
"okay.. Actually it can match up with anyone else that have the positive end bUT-"

Namjoon turns yoongi over to give him a slight glare. "only do that click click thing with me and no one else."

Nods.

Yoongi's nod is so cute that namjoon was having a hard time on keeping himself together — he almost died while hiding his squeal.

"Pinky promise?"

Yoongi smiles before hooking their pinky fingers together.

"O-only wif n-namjoonie!"

author's note: so I'm not an expert in any medical stuff hence why I always have to do some research when I'm giving y'all these kind of contents!!

It might not be accurate (please correct me if I'm wrong) but every medical terms and problems here are based on my understanding after reading a few articles about it.

Oh and yeah, frontal lisp is when a person tongue goes in between their teeth when theyre pronouncing 's' and 'z', i think oh sehun is suffering this.

As for what yoongi is suffering in this fic, its lateral lisp — the words such as 's' and 'z' along with a few others will come out 'sloppy' or 'wet-like' sound. if youre curious on how it sounds like, do you know Sid the Sloth from ice age?
Yeah, that is how people with lateral lisp sounds like!!!!
