the group wakes up to police sirens going off below them. despite it being four in the morning, everyone was wide awake and panicking, the last thing they wanted was to get arrested because of an overnight challenge.
" fuck elton, i told you, this was a bad idea! " corey groaned as he frantically rolled up his sleeping bag.
" woah kid, you agreed to this. don't push the blame on me. " elton argued back, his hands running through his hair roughly in frustration.
meanwhile, colby was standing at a corner, in a brim of tears. he honestly didn't care if he got arrested, he just wouldn't know how to face his parents afterwards.
aaron notices the brunette and signals sam to approach him, aaron knew the two had a thing for each other, their whole friend group pretty much knew, yet the duo didn't.
" colbs? " sam said softly, his hands rubbing against the back of the younger's neck.
" hmm? " the brunette looks up at sam, his eyes were red from trying so hard to hold back his tears and his lips were quivering slightly.
" hey, everything's going to be okay, take chances! " the blonde gave colby an encouraging smile and engulfed him into a hug, his hands drawing circles on colby's back.
colby laughed softly at the older and they quickly joined the rest of the group.
" so what's the plan? " devyn sighs, looking at elton, worry filled in her eyes.
" we could just wait this out? " aaron suggests, shrugging his shoulders.
the rest agree and they try to calm down, despite knowing that they were probably getting searched by cops below them currently.
" if they find us, let's just pretend we didn't know. " sam mumbles before letting out a soft yawn, soon falling asleep beside colby.
