Aviva slowly opens her eyes and feel exhausted. She tries to get up as she weakly sat up. She rub her tired eyes and look around to see a medical room around her, and right beside her was Chris sleeping on a chair sleeping beside her medical bed. She looks at herself to see bandages on her arms. When she touches her neck, there was a bandage too. Aviva didn't know what happen despite the fact she knew she was battling against the Chupacabra.
"Chris?" asked Aviva while she taps on the sleeping fellow.
Chris slowly opens his eyes with a big yawn to see his friend sitting form her bed. He stretches his arms out and looks at his friend with a delight, yet tired smile.
"Hey Aviva, how are you doing?" he asked.
"I'm doing fine. It's just that I feel a bit lightheaded as of now. What happened back in the cave?"
Chris could only look down at the floor and rubs his hands together.
"Well, I don't how to put this simply, but you were attacked by it."
Aviva eyes widen from the information given to her. Chris look at her with a sadden expression.
"We thought we almost lost you, but we managed to save you time to recover."
Aviva smiled at Chris and hugged him to comfort him. He hugs back with a smile on his face, delighted to have a friend still with him. They release each other as Aviva was slowly shifting herself to have her bare toes touch the cold floor first before she let her bare feet down as well. She stood up and look at Chris getting up from the chair and walk towards her to help her out.
"By the way, what happen to the Chupacabra?" asked Aviva, who wonder of the monster who attacked her.
"Martin was battling it while I carried you back to the Tortuga. And then suddenly, the cave was breaking part. I didn't know why or how did the cave begin to crumble, but I knew Martin came back almost in a panic since he didn't want to be trapped in there."
"So the Chupacabra is..."
"I don't know what happened to it," Chris adds on. "I don't know if it escape or it was trapped. But I know that we made it out alive and that's what count."
Aviva smile to know that everyone else was okay. Even though they didn't know if they stop it or if the monster is dead, but it was at least good that her friends aren't hurt. She didn't want them to get harmed by the monster. The only thing she can do is hope the monster can hurt anyone anymore.
