"Huh... huh... why am I... being chased...?" I said under my heaving breath as I ran along a seemingly endless road. I looked over and saw a break between two building and headed straight for it.
"Huh..." I heaved as I, as silently as I could, collapsed to the ground to try to stay hidden. I crawled behind a nearby trash can.
"Please," I silently coughed, "don't let them see me..." I heard the footsteps of the people chasing me grow closer then fade away.
"Where'd she go!?" One man exclaimed.
"I don't know. Keep looking. We haven't gotten one of them yet. Once those pussies come out from hiding, they'll be dead the moment their spotted." The seeming alpha of their little pack stated.
"I think they're gone. I... I need to get out of this city..." I said half jokingly. I started to slide down the back wall of the ally and my elbow hit something.
"A... button? Why is a button here..? I didn't think anything too high-deck would be in an alley..." I thought curiously to myself. It's like my hand took control of itself as I pushed the button.
"Uh... I didn't mean to," I said in confusion,
"Wait... WHAT?"
The wall opened to show a door with smoke escaping out of it.I was too shocked to mutter a word. As if I had no control over my body, I walked through the door without my own minds consent.I felt as if I could've went to a different dimension. I felt a change in the air, like it was heavier for a few seconds.
"Am I dead?" I thought to myself.
"No, you aren't dead. Far from it, actually." An unknown voice said. It sounded like a girl... a sort of musty but luscious voice.
"Wha... what?"I said dizzily.
"Oh your fine," a more grizzly voice exclaimed, "it happened to all of us."
Estells vision started to defog as she blinked. Everything started to come together.
"Wha... wait WHO ARE YOU?" I said startled. She put her hands up in a fighting position as to defend herself if she met some not-so-nice fiends. "I...I" I stammered. "I know karate!"
She didn't know karate.
"No you don't. I know you don't. Nice try though, almost convincing." The boy said. He was a darker boy. Not even a boy... a man. He had dark hair that faded into blue. He wore a light blue shirt, dark grey pants, and a blue sweat shirt around his waist. He looked just under twenty. But... handsome none the less.
I didn't realize I was staring at his perfectly carved face till I was awoken from my trance from the other girl.
"Hey? Goo goo eyes? Really, he can't see you anyway, so it's no use." Said the girl. She had green-blue hair, had to be dyed, but maybe she was a lucky girl to get a weird hair color? She war a light green sleeveless turtleneck top with some dark green capris. With some calf high brown boots to tie the whole look together.
"What?" I asked. I actually forgot what she said... his eyes. They... are grey. Like storm clouds in a bright sky. How? Contacts? Well, I knew wrong as soon I came back to reality.
"Little lady, please. I can tell your nervous. I just... can't see it. I'm blind, and, thank you for the compliments." The man said.
"Whoa... wait, I didn't say anything about you outloud..." I said confused.
"He can read minds, dumb-ass. Do you not pay attention to a word we say? Context clues? No?" The sass master herself exclaimed.
"Don't mind her. It's that time of the month," he said jokingly with an adorable smirk on his face, "Here. Let me help you up."
I chucked, even though, looking at the girl, I probably shouldn't have. I felt a shiver as he pulled me up by my arms. His hands were soft, like cotton. He had strength, but was so gentle.
"How did you know where I was? Since your... blind and all that?" I asked with soft smile, wiping off any residue from when I fell.
"I can feel auras. I know how weak you are or how strong depending on your aura. I can tell how you feel based on your aura. It's just a little add on to the whole 'reading minds' thing." He stated. I could tell he was so kind, but could literally beat your ass in a second.
"So, are you the only one with powers? Are you the only ones here? Where is this place? I feel like I'm in a different world." I stated.
"Just sit down at the table over there and we can discuss all you want, *sigh*, what is your name dip-shit?" The asshole demanded.
"Estell." I said with my own sass included. "And don't call me dip-shit, needle-tits."
