Lucy
“Good morning.”
He came in the kitchen looking freshly plucked from a magazine spread – with bed hair that seems too good to be true and a gait that I recognized from all the YouTube and V-live videos I’ve seen him in.
In all honesty, I want to run away.
Because first of all, this situation is insane;
I don’t remember having done anything to get to this.
This wasn’t how I’d envisioned my life trajectory to go.
Second, I knew I’d have kids someday, but having no one to have it with, I’d consoled myself that there were great leaps made in the medical field in the last decade and that I’d have plenty of choices.
Lastly, and the most insane thing, is that I find myself supposedly married and settling down with a K-Pop idol.
In case you haven’t quite grasped the weight of that, let me repeat.
I’m married to a K-Pop idol. And we have somehow managed to create two living, breathing, little vessels of our shared DNA.
Oh, and did I mention that it’s 2029?!
I AM INTERNALLY SCREAMING.
Don’t get me wrong, this is a dream scenario for a fan like me, but if this is some black magic, then I’d rather not have this at all.
Until I’ve gathered more information on what’s happening to me, to us, I’m going to be on guard against everything.
Ysa and Yuri raised their heads in acknowledgement as Yoongi approached us with wary steps.
I left the table and met him halfway.
“We need to talk.” I whispered and pulled him to the other side of the room, out of earshot from the kids.
We stood by the windows, huddled and looking suspicious.
“I know you’re freaking out right now. So am I.” I began, letting go of his arm and leaning against the wall.
“What the hell is going on?” Yoongi whisper harshly.
“I don’t know okay!” I whisper-shouted as well,
“All I know is that apparently, I’m married to a K-Pop idol – which I don’t really understand – I mean, it’s a dream, but that’s all it is, a dream!
Something that you wish you had the chance of being, but you know that reality doesn’t really work that way!
So you become resigned to just being happy for your bias even if his love interest would never be you!”
“What are you talking about?! Who are you talking about? What is going on?”
Yoongi asked confused.
“Yeah, sorry about that. I kind of freaked out on you,” I say sighing, “Anyway, I would just like to clarify that I had nothing to do with this.” I say slowly, trying to make my point across,
“All I know is that,
1. I woke up next to you.
2. From the matching rings, I deduced that we’re supposed to be married.
3. We have children – oh my God! We have children!” I paced, clutching my hair and hyperventilating.“Shhh! Not so loud!” he warns, checking if the kids are eavesdropping on us.
“Okay, now, while you were down here playing house, I explored the rest of the house and found my workroom.”
