Jill's P.O.V

It's been six months, in counting, since I lost the baby. Raph keeps begging me to try again, but the bonehead doesn't get that I need time to recover from the loss of the first baby! I mean, what if it happens again? What if I get pregnant and I have another miscarriage?

Anyway, I've been going Dark Knight again and I keep running into that Night Watcher bitch. We always talk smack and he calls me stuff like princess and all that jazz. The funny part about it is that we never fight. After about ten to fifteen minutes of talking, we go our separate ways. It's confusing, really.

"Where you going now, Jill?" My mother asked me in an annoyed tone.

"Going out like I do every night. Why?" I asked and turned to face her.

"I'm worried about you sweetie. What do you do every night when you leave us?" She asked and stepped towards me, a concerning look in her eyes.

"Look Mom, I love you, but I'm not telling anyone where I go." I sighed and opened the window to the fire escape.

"Why won't you tell me? I'm your mother, you can tell me anything." She said in a calming tone.

"Because I just...can't." I sighed and avoided her steady hazel gaze.

"Just be careful doing whatever it is you're going out to do." She said and hugged me. I returned the hug and caught a glimpse of Raph looking at me with a questioning and fearful glisten in his eyes. I pulled away from the hug with me mother and stepped onto the fire escape. I climbed the ladder and ran from rooftop to rooftop until I reached the storage unit that hid my duffel bag with my Dark Knight outfit.

I came out wearing my outfit and I heard a gasp come from behind me. I whipped around and unsheathed my tomahawks. I snarled and looked around. I growled and put my weapons at my sides. I walked to the edge of the building and overlooked the city, like I do every night.

People walked on the sidewalks with their cell phones in their hands and their friends at their sides, the street lights shined bright and lit the paths of the many scurrying among the sidewalks, and waning gibbous moon was glistening brightly over-head. I grinned at the sight and waffed in the scent of the midnight Manhattan air.

I chilled on the rooftops and saw the Night Watcher ruffing up a couple Purple Dragons. I smirked and decided to play a little 'joke'. I jumped off of the fire escape and stood at the entrance to the alleyway. All eyes were on me as I whipped out my P99 and grinned muscheviously.

"Hey there, Night Watcher." I smirked. "Need any help?"

"I got this one, Dark Losah'. Now get the hell outta' heah' before I kick ya' ass too!" He snapped and punched a guy in the gut with his metal gloves. All eight of the goons tackled Night Watcher and took him to the ground.

I laughed and pointed at him. "Way ta' kick their asses!" He growled and tried to wriggle himself free, but all he did was give them more of an advantage. I sighed and put my firearm back in its holster. I kicked two goons in the sides and knocked them out with the butt of my tomahawks. Then, I punched three of them and shot them in the shoulders, preventing them from getting up. I glared at the other three and snarled. They jumped to their feet, grabbed their buddies, and fled the scene. I looked over at the Night Watcher and saw him staggering to his feet.

"I didn't need ya' help!" He spat. "God, you's more stubborn than my wife!" I narrowed my eyes and glared at him. The way he said that made me suspicious.

"Well, you're more obnoxious than my husband." I sneered and crossed my arms over my chest. He stopped and looked at me suspiciously. "What are ya' staring at?"

"Why the hell would someone marry you? He must be an emotionless robot!" He laughed.

"Your wife must be blind, then." I smirked. He growled and whipped out a kusheriagama chain. I shook my head and whipped out my two akimbo knives.

"Let's dance." He said in a sly tone. He lunged for me and swung his chain at my head. I fell to my belly and rolled away as he swung again. I jumped to my feet and lunged for him. I punched his helmet off and he was wearing black Oakley glasses and a metal mask that covered his nose and mouth. He growled and dropped his chains. He put his fists up and said,"Put em' up, Toots."  I snarled and sheathed my knives. I ran at him and punched his metal mask. Being I have super strength, I barely felt anything. He punched me across the left cheek and his metal gloves scratched me just beneath my eye. "Give up?"

"Never!" I screeched and tackled him. We flipped and rolled across the rooftop. He got on top of me and aimed a punch at my nose. I caught his ginormous fist in my hand and twisted it. He fell on his back and winced. "How's it feel gettin' beat by a girl?" I smirked. He huffed and pulled away from me.

"Watch ya' back, Dark Knight." He said before putting his helmet back on and running off into the night. I ran in the opposite direction and went back to the storage unit to change into my normal clothes. I hid my outfit and sprinted home.

"Hey guys." I said as I walked inside. Everyone waved and I noticed that Ayame was looking at me funny. "I'm gonna go to bed. I'll see you guys in the morning." I said and walked upstairs. I changed into my red button up shirt and curled up in bed. I fell asleep just as Raph got into bed.

"Jill?" Ayame asked as she stepped into the kitchen.

"What's up?" I smiled and stopped mixing the cookie dough.

"Listen, I know something and......," she trailed off and rubbed her shoulder. I looked at her and narrowed my eyes.

"What do you know?" I asked her. She shook her head and sat down.

"Forget about it." She said and avoided my gaze. I went back to mixing the cokie dough and finally put them in the oven. I sat down next to her and looked at her.

"What do you know? Please tell me." I pleaded. She looked up at me and stood up. She pulled me into the gym and closed the sliding glass door.

"I know that you're the Dark Knight."
