Brady's Point of viewAfter fifth period, I was on my way to lunch. But sadly, I got distracted. By what, exactly? The girl that intrigues me every day. I usually see her in the halls, where she leans on the lockers by herself. Today, I saw her standing, and a crowd gathered around her.
It's only when I got closer that I saw what was happening. Kyle was in front of her, and by her feet was a cracked IPod. Ouch.
I was about to step in, when Melanie beat me to the chase. Damn her. Actually, maybe it's a sign I shouldn't interact with her. Good thing I didn't get involved.
She probably only causes trouble anyways. Not that I'm not a troublemaker myself. But only when it comes to girls.
Yes, I am a player. But who cares? It's a lifestyle.
My hot looks do make it easier for girls to fall for me. Maybe that's why I was so intrigued by her. She was the only girl (besides the nerds) that didn't make a move.
She just kept to herself. One of my friends interrupted my thoughts. "Come on dude, let's get to lunch." Andrew says. He hits my back and motions for me to follow.
We enter the lunch room, and all eyes are on me. Oh well, I'm used to it. We walk to our regular lunch table, and sit in our seats.
Me, Andrew, Nick, Olivia, Allison, and Diane all sit at my table. Apparently we are the "popular" kids. Whatever that means. I mean, we are all attractive, and all of us guys play sports, so I guess it's kind of obvious.
"Hey babe." Olivia greets me. Gross. Liv has been chasing me ever since freshman year. We are all seniors now. So I kind of got used to it.
"Hey." I reply, unenthusiastic. From the corner of my eye, I see her frown. All of us are kind of "dating" each other.
Andrew and Diane have an on/off thing going on. Poor Andrew. And Nick and Allison have an unspoken thing. It's pretty obvious that they have hooked up more than once, but they never mention anything. That leaves me and Liv.
Yeah, we have a thing too. Sadly. To be honest, I want more than random hookups. I've been with 12 girls in the past 2 months. I know it's unhealthy for me and the innocent girls, but this is who I am.
I don't know another way to express my feelings.
During lunch, my friends have been making random conversation, while I stare off into space. I've done that a lot recently, and I can tell Andrew noticed because he says, "Man, why have you been so out of it recently?"
"Maybe I have an STD." I joke. Both Olivia and Allison look up in disgust, while Andrew and Diane start laughing. Nick doesn't seemed fazed by anything. He's Probably high again.
"So anyway, are you going to Bruno's party this weekend?" Andrew asks. Bruno plays on the basketball team with us. He's cool. Sometimes.
"Eh. I don't know." I do have this math test to study for, but screw it. "Actually, sure. Why not." I finally say.
"Yes! We can finally get drunk again. It's been two weeks since you came to a party with us." Nick finally speaks up.
"Yeah well, my dad has been working with me, so I can work the company when I get older." My dad is a business man, and he wants me to follow in his footsteps.
I have to admit, my family is pretty rich. I live in a semi-mansion, which has its perks. But it kinda sucks because my dad has people waiting on me hand and foot. I just wish I could live on my own. Experience freedom.
