High-school Nicknames and Familiar Faces

Peter's Pov:

My shift at the resturant just finished and all I want to do is get out of here. After a long night of being yelled at and faking a smile to the customers all I want to do is go to the highest building I can find and look at the stars.

I got changes on top of the resturant and started to swing, he found himself on the Avengers Tower the second time that day. He took off his mask, lay down and was last in thought.

Tony's Pov:

I was keeping an eye on spider man however I could, whether it was Instagram posts or news reports, I knew about them. I was sitting in the common room of the avengers tower where everyone was at this time of night. They were mostly just watching TV but I was looking through the giant computer screen on the side of the room. "Guys! I've got word that our newest arachnid is on the roof!" I shouted to the avengers

There was a loud groan that filled the room. "But we're watching Frozen!" Bruce (Bruce Banner/the hulk) called out. "Look Green Beans, Fury said we have to recruit the spider and if we don't follow orders, I'll be the one with a stick jamed up my ass." I said to him. Normally I wouldn't admit something like that, but everyone knew that this was an important mission. "Alright calm down Tin can, their going." A girl laughed. Her laughter cut the tension and made the other avengers giggle a little.

This was Scarlett, she is the Avengers adopted daughter. After they found her  under some rubble, When she was seven. The avengers got attached. She was an orphan anyway so they kinda.. just adopted her. She is now around 18 and is thought of as more of part of the avengers family. They have protected her and kept her a secret as best as they can. They even allowed her to go to a normal school which she graduated from, just last month. Everyone was very proud.

I walked into the elevator and told F.R.I.D.A.Y, "To the roof!" The elevator moved fast but you couldn't really tell. The ride up was silent and we had finally gotten up to the roof to see a boy staring at the stars.

"What up, spidey?" I said, snapping out of his daze. The boy stood up and revealed his face to us. Gasps could be heard from all around us. The boy had bags under his eyes that were complimented by a black eye and busted lip. He was pale, as if he hadn't slept or eaten in a while.

"Hey kid, we want you to come inside." Steve(Steve Rodgers/Captain America) said. He tensed at that but nodded and walked with us to the elevator.

Peter's Pov:

I was shocked. I had just revealed my face to the avengers. I was hoping that they didn't notice the bruses and tiredness on my face. But not everyone is like my boss.

There was a person that spoke, "What floor Mr.Stark?" I instantly recognized it from an article I read about this place. It was an A.I called F.R.I.D.A.Y. I had  read a lot about The Avengers Tower. I also knew alot about Dr. Banner, who stood next to me and Mr.Stark who was behind me. "The common room." Tony replied.

We had come out to a room that had a large open kitchen, a sitting area with a TV and a dining area. There were various computers neatly place on the walls and there was one giant window in the place that the wall to where the outside should be.

The first thing I heard was a girl, "Hi ya, I'm Scarlett!" The girl was in front of me and extended her hand for me to shake. "P-Peter Parker." I stuttered. I shook her hand and as we let go she said, "Wow, quite the grip you got there!" She sounded so cheery. She kind of lit up the room. I nodded to her statement and made my way to the chairs in the dining area.

"Wait! I know you from somewhere!" She exclaimed. I turned to examine her more carefully and everything clicked. We graduated from the same high school. "Weren't you that kid that Flash used to torment?" She asked. I paused for a moment and answered," yeah, so glad I don't go there anymore!" I laughed. The previous awkwardness melted away as we kept talking. "Although, I could be in a better situation right now." I said. "You're  that girl that had all the same classes as me, right?" I asked. "Yup," she answered, "although if I recall you had the same classes as me!" She defended, playfully. Everyone seemed to have been watching them interact as they sat on the couches. "So how're ya doing?" I asked. She said, " you know, just back at the tower now, too smart for collage, how bout' you? And your girlfriend, umm Gwen was it?." I recoiled a bit at the question. It was noticeable to everyone. "Umm well, I'm kinda struggling keeping up 2 jobs and all...Umm Gwen is uhh.." I trailed off at the last part. "Did ya break up? We're you a dick? Livin' up to your name hey, Penis Parker?" She joked.

Everyone could tell that Peter flinched at the familiar nickname. "Penis parker?" Clint asked, about to break out into laughter with everyone else giggling at the immature nickname. "It's not that funny.." I said. They dropped the name and Scarlett asked again, "so what happened with Gwen then?" I knew that she didn't know, but it was still a sensitive subject. I tried my best to answer without bringing down the mood, "umm it's just, been a rough year..Gwen's well, dead." Peter whispered, loud enough for everyone to hear. "Well, now I feel like a dick.." Scarlett said.

*After some time of Avenger bonding*

Scarlett's Pov:

Peter was getting on really well, with everyone. He was sweet and, I gotta admit, really really cute. Even though I seriously doubt that I could ever have a relationship with Spiderman, it's just nice to think that there is a chance...
