Epilogue: Five Years Later

His eyes flew open. After all this time, he was still here. It worked.

But the room that was once a great bustle of life was now dark and full of what looked like sand. It was lifeless. The plan had succeeded. 

But how was he awake? Someone must have triggered the awakening procedure. That meant that someone was on their way. How long exactly had he been under? He didn’t know.

The air was stale and stuffy. It had clearly been a very long time.

Then the faint wisps of green light appeared. They were dull and hardly noticeable, but the closer they got to him the more intense they became, until one rose up to his height and swayed in the air in front of him. It was a bright lime-ish green light and swayed in the air like a giant worm. His stomach fell for it had not worked - they were still there.

The tendril of light struck him on the head and began to invade his mind.

Master Kisa felt his self control wither to nothing as the invader took over his central nervous system, but he was glad that at least he was so very far from home.
