"I'm tired."
"I'm tired too.".
"I'm more tired than you."
"I'm more tired than everyone."
I poked Lydia in her tiny ribs. "Are not."
"Are too." She said jabbing back.
"I'm too tired to bicker." I said.
It was a quiet day, at the school at about 7:20, a few minutes before school was supposed to start. I was sitting with Bella and Lydia, another Army Brat, at a small table in the library. We were probably supposed to be doing something like being productive but that was most obviously not going to happen.
"Quiet, I'm trying to focus." Bella said, her book out in front of her, trying way too hard to study for the English Test.
"It's just English, Bell." I said. "You know Ms. Vodka...."
Lydia snorted loudly. "Vodka. I still can't get over that."
I looked at her, her dark brown eyes gleaming in amusement. "Dude, it's been a whole freaking year."
"I just don't understand why you would hire a teacher whose last name was Vodka. Do you know the capacity of epicness senior pranks could ensue????"
"We're only sophomores. I'm intent on focusing on more important stuff than senior pranks. And what could you even do with that, a bottle of vodka on her desk? There's not much in that, Lyd."
"No, you poor pathetic child! You pour vodka all over the floor so it reeks to high heavan, smash a couple bottles on the floor for an effect, call down the office to come down and have everyone in the entire class be walking around like their drunk." Lydia said excitedly.
We all laughed including Bella. I began mimicing a drunk throwing my body uncomfortably close and talking loudly. "Weeeell, then what after THAT LydiA? HMM?"
She laughed more and began mimicing as well. "THEN the administration goes abSOLUTEly NUTS!"
As she screamed the word "NUTS" Lydia threw her arms out and shoved me trying to catch me off balance, and succeeding.
Except I didn't catch myself.
In a series of unfortunate events, me and my chair both fell straight backwards. I watched in horror as the world flew up at a rapid rate.
The chair crashed on the ground, or what I thought was the ground, causing a loud thudding noise.
And then there was swearing.
And it wasn't me, Lydia, or Bella either.
I had landed on a complete stranger.
I spun around in my seat.
Anyone would probably be expecting me to tell you that I turned around to see an enchanting boy, blonde hair flowing down from his head in front of his gorgeous blue eyes as he stood up offered his hand to me called me beautiful and the planet would ship us and we'd be soulmates forever.
Yeah not so much.
The boy (yes, a boy) had been walking by when I had crashed on his foot. I didn't know him from anywhere. He had brown hair that was quite dark, and dark brown eyes with pale skin. I couldn't say he was really attractive yet I couldn't say he was unnattractive. He was just kind of..... average.
Lydia and Bella of course did the one thing anyone would expect their friends to do in a time of need
They bust out laughing.
