"Sick Dragon"

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

A young 14-year old groaned as he smashed his hand against his alarm and soon gasped as it broke into little pieces, he looked over. "What?" he asked himself, confused as he looked down at his hand. It was then that he realized how awful he felt, his head was pounding, his throat was sore, his stomach ached and he felt dizzy. Not to mention his nose was all clogged up he couldn't breathe. 

He stayed there for a few minutes, hoping to ease his pained head. "Jake, what was that noise?" his mom asked as she turned the light on. He moaned at the pain it caused him, the thumping pain in his head aching worse.

"Oh my, you look terrible, sweetie," Jake's mom said as she shut off the light and placed her hand on his head. 

His nose wiggled, signaling a sneeze so he removed his mom's hand from his head and soon sneezed hard, fire blowing out of his mouth in the process. "What the - " he looked over at his mom who looked worried. 

"I - I'll go call dad, stay in here," she said and he looked down, gasping as he saw purple claws and red dragon scales. He ran out the room and into the bathroom, he looked directly into the mirror and gasped as he saw his dragon face.

"I gotta get to grandpa!"

"Jake! Get back to work!" (American Dragon)

Jake moaned and groaned as he held onto his mother, who was practically dragging him inside of his grandfather's shop. Fu dog looks up from what he was doing and gasps as he notices how pale and sweaty Jake was, he was wearing no shirt. "Sheesh, cover up, will ya?" he jokes but he frowns when he sees Jake is in no joking state.

"I'll go get the old man," he said and scurried on off to the back, returning minutes later with Lao Shi walking back.

"Oh my," he says in sort of shock, "I know exactly what this is." he states seriously and looks over to his daughter.

"It'd be best if he stays here  with me for a few weeks, sweetheart. He's got a serious case of the dragon sickness," his mom gasps.

"But I thought - " she cuts herself off when Lao nods and looks over at Jake, who sprouted wings and a tail and began flying in the air.

"Yo, g! What's happening to me!?" he screeched as he uncontrollably flew in the air, around the whole store. Lao jumped up and grabbed onto Jake's foot and laid him down, his tail and wings eventually retracting into his body.
