Detention Room (1)

Hey everyone, I'm Olivia Grey. I'm a seventeen year old blonde haired, blue eyed, socially award chick. I have no friends...god, that made sound like a total loser. I guess I'm just too awkward to have friends.

So you wouldn't really expect a girl like me to get detention - on the last day of school, may I add. Now now, let me explain. The only reason I got detention was because Ms Smith hates me. All I was doing was chewing gum in class! Thats not such a big deal! Besides, there were like ten thousand other people chewing as well.

Okay, maybe I exaggerated that a bit, but you get the point.

I literally dragged myself to the detention room. When I got there, I saw three other girls sitting there.

There was Cameron Hall, senior, Australian and a total badass. She has purple hair - the teachers constantly complain about it - and tons of piercings. Her uniform is always on incorrectly and she's always in detention. The teachers cant really get rid of her because her mom gave this stupid boarding school a lot of money. Yeah, this is a boarding school. An all girls' boarding school. One of the best in the country.

At dinner tonight, they're going to be giving us room mates because we apparently have over a hundred new students next semester and they need the room. Not that I'm complaining or anything. Our dorms could fit at least four people.

Shoot, I'm getting off topic. This happens a lot, so please bare with me.

A few desks away from Cameron was Katrina Valentine, a junior. I was kinda shocked to see her there. Katrina was a total goody-two-shoes. She's from London and is all prim and proper. I have nothing against her, she's actually really nice. It's kinda hard not to like her with her brown hair and kind brown eyes. She's also really short.

Next was Victoria Ramirez, senior and a total hottie. Even I can say that. She's one of the most popular girls in school. Victoria's part spanish, so as you can imagine, she's gorgeous. She has tanned skin, green eyes and black hair. Victoria doesn't really pay attention to people. Not even her best friends. The only person she really pays attention to is her sister. Violet Ramirez. She's a year younger than Victoria.

As soon as I was seated, Mr Parker told us he had some errands to run and that he'd be back in two hours.

After ten minutes of awkward silence, Katrina spoke up.

"So...what're you guys in for?" she asked.

"I punched some really annoying girl," Cameron said casually. My eyes widened. She said it like it was nothing to her. I have to admit, I did admire that girl.

Victoria laughed lightly, "Rebecca is pretty annoying. I swore some chick who was messing with my sister."

They all looked at me. What do I say? Come on, Olivia, don't be awkward. "I-I was c-chewing g-gum," I stuttered nervously. I face-palmed. Why was I such an idiot?

Cameron laughed, "Don't be so nervous. We don't bite," she winked at me. "What about you, Katrina?"

"Kat," Katrina said quickly. "Uhm, I was talking in class."

"Looks like we're all pretty badass," Victoria laughed. "I mean, chewing gum in class?! Oh the horror!"

This caused all of us to laugh. This wasn't the Victoria the school knew. That Victoria was harsh. This Victoria was sweet and had a sense of humor.

"So, what do you think the freshman are gonna be like?" I asked. Yes! No stuttering.

"Slutty," Cameron immediately answered.

"My sister's going to be a freshman," Victoria frowned.

"Chill, girl," Cameron laughed. "So is mine."
