I would sit in Silence as they wandered past
Pure white Clouds of Obliviousness;
a Sweet pillow of powdered Sugar within the sky.
I couldn't look directly at those beautiful Imperfections
For making eye contact with them was Disaster;
Embracing them was peril.
They would whisper for my attention
Yet cheery laughter made Clear Skies;
and protected me from the Abnormalities they were.
On a day of Fate,
I had finally lifted my eager eyes
And laid them upon the marvelous Blemishes.
They did nothing.
They floated along aimlessly,
And I joyously grew a courage towards them.
On a day of Fate,
I had lifted my timid eyes to the stunning Impurities;
Heart thumping with frantic senselessness,
and this time-
They rained on me.
