Dead Inside

She was like a colorful girl in a world of darkness,

Who started fading slowly deep into the blackness.

She was like a flower in a field of grass,

Dry and lonely, afraid and sad.

She was once a spark, waiting to ignite,

But stayed like a stone, deprived of light.

She was broken by others around,

Cried and screamed but made no sound,

It was like she was hanging in a black hole,

Until she lost all of her hope.

As time passed she lost her grip,

Kept holing on until she broke her rope.

Screaming and crying she fell down,

Dying in pain on the ground.

Today she seems to be alive,

But no one knows how dead she is inside.
