As I'm walking down the high way I hear cars flying by me. about three miles down the highway I realized I would never get far on foot. I put my hand out with my thumb extended I know it is dangerous because hitch hiking is illegal in the United States now but what do I have to lose besides my freedom which will be gone any way if the police find me and put me in front off a judge... But I have no other choice beside walk through several states on foot it would take days, weeks , or even months I don't know. In some ways I'm luckiest kid alive because for some reason a semi truck pulled over and the driver asked

"You need a ride young man?"

"Yes, sir I would like that very much sir" I replied as innocently as I could sound

I hopped in the car skeptical of the driver I swear I've seen him before but I'm not sure of it. I can't seem to remember exactly but there is a vauge memory in the back of my mind? When I closed the door and buckled up the driver floored the gas peddle. I looked closer and realized who it was it was my DAD!?

"Dad! What are you doing here!?" I asked

"I'm sorry Cj I had to know you weren't going to get in even more trouble then you already are in! I'm sorry." Dad replied

"I told you never to talk to me again or you would get in trouble with the police! I can't trust you any more just stop and drop me off here." I said

"Cj I just had t-"

"No dad drop me off and don't try and find me again!" I enter upped

He pulled over fast and drop me off by a sign that said "Welcome to Detroit"
