"So let me get this straight, you two know each other?" Alex asked as he limped up a staircase.

"Of course," Mr Rich said as they went up another flight of stairs, "Funny thing is that we're actually twins."

"What?! No way. Your brother was my seventh grade Self Defense teacher?!"

The billionaire stopped to look back at his brother.

Commander Richardson, in his slowly diminishing muddy camouflage, also looked back. His twin was looking at him like he was waiting for an explanation. "I had to get a job after serving the army. The kids need to know how to defend themselves from Pokemon if ever an apocalypse happens. As you can see, it's happening of course."

"You and your conspiracy on rebellious Pokemon," Mr Rich chuckled as he continued upwards. "You may be correct now but believe me, some of them are still with us on our side. Some of them just wants to be with their trainers."

"You mean like that Torracat and Greninja following behind us?" the commander pointed to the pokemon behind them.

They all look behind them at Market and Jack. Perhaps waiting for them to create a blackhole or something.

The two pokemon looked back at them in confusion. They look at each other then back at the humans in utter confusion. "Greni-Greninja?"

Commander Richardson gestured to keep moving and they went up the final flight of stairs to the ground floor. They were welcomed by a small group of students who were dragging a pair of unconscious (but still smelly) Garbodors.

A student, in her school uniform but partly covered in camouflage, walked up to the commander and saluted. "The guards are unconscious and the science team is almost finish planting the bombs. We also encountered a couple of them who seem to be looking for us but yeah we took care of them too"

"Good work. Jeff better get those things better go off perfectly," Commander Richardson replied saluting back. She went back to help her classmates in moving the snoring Garbodor. The commander then turned back to Mr Rich. "Discipline, Harry. One thing the next generation shouldn't forget."

When the students saw the Torracat and Greninja with them, they slightly panicked but seeing Commander Richardson with them, they quickly calmed down. Well... Maybe some of them still have their hearts pounding quickly with the fact that Pokemon was in their surroundings but other than that, they're cool, they're cool.

"Did you just say Jeff?" Alex asked.

   "Yes," Commander Richardson answered.

"Like Stuart Jeff? Jeff Boschonovich? The nerd who lost every food fight ever?!"

"Yes, we've assigned him as our weapons specialist."

Alex looks at him in disbelief. "The weird nerd guy? You've assigned the weapons specialist to what?!"

"The one and only!" a kid announced his arrival. He was wearing the school uniform but unlike the others he wasn't under any camouflage. He wore a huge blue old bowtie, a wide brimmed glasses and a belt of tools around his waist. This was supposed to be the one managing the weapons and science-y stuff. He came forward and saluted Commander Richardson with a flimsy 'hello'.

The commander returned the greeting. "Where's your camouflage, young man?"

"I'm sorry, sir, but I can't have camouflage ruin my bowtie, sir. It just won't do. Bowties are cool... um, sir," he answered.

"You mean that same old bowtie you have since your fifth grade? Loose it, nerd," Alex said.

He looked at the magician down at his ruined Michael Jackson like shoes to the very messy hair on his head. "Who's he?" Jeff asked, pointing at him. "Who's this guy?"

Now Alex here is a well known magician. Umm... I mean, was a well known magician. Before this apocalypse, he was on his world tour of his magic tricks. He called it, "Pokemon Magic: Magic but with Pokemon!". It's a working title... Well, he did say that it was a working title. So if he's a well known popular person, and Jeff doesn't recognize him, it made Alex's heart sink. He thought everyone knows him with his popularity and all. But it looks like the school nerd didn't know him at all. That definitely left a lasting wound in Alex's ego.

"Him?" Commander Richardson said, turning to Alex, "He's Alex, he was one of my... previous students. Now he just wastes his knowledge on silly tricks."

   "Hey-!"

"Now, now, Alex. Let's get you and my brother patched up," then he called out to one of his students. "Somebody get the first aid."

After all these and going up the stairs, Alex almost forgot that he and Mr Rich were tortured by those cruel monsters. It was as if he was more injured by this nerdy student than the Pokemon that were now causing a racket behind the door. There was a faint explosion then after a few seconds another explosion again. What were the Pokemon doing to John?!

A guy about a foot taller than Alex came with a red case, about the size of a lunch box. He opened it and started with Mr Rich. He looked like the timid and silent classmate you would have, the one who would probably be one of the people in the back of the classroom. He may be tall but he's very very quiet. He works silently on the Mr Rich's left arm.

"So here's the plan," Commander Richardson began, "Their leader is behind these steel doors. We would blast it off open and attack with these." He showed them a test tube with a yellowish liquid in it. Alex, being a graduated student of Mendleton High, almost instantly recognized it.

"This is Hydrochloric acid, the same stuff found in our stomachs. I'm no science teacher but Jeff says that this small amount is enough to puncture holes through steel and then some," Commander Richardson explains, passing it to Alex. "So don't make spill and make it count when you throw it."

Alex rolls the testube in between his fingers. "So you're gonna fight Pokemon... with... with acid?"

"Science rules," Jeff says as a valuable addition to the explanation while extending the antenna of what I can only assume as a makeshift remote. He fidget his bowtie as the device hummed to life. "Actually, we are also going to use science to get the door open too. The bombs are online, commander, sir!"

Coincidentally, the tall guy was already done patching up Alex. Commander Richardson clapped his hands to get the students in their diminishing camouflages attention. "This is it, everyone, stand back! This is not a drill. We only have two back up bombs: the water and the ventilation system. They are packed up with foamy chemicals of I-don't-know-what explosives so make those count too!"

He gestured to to Jeff. He nodded and pressed a button on his device with glee. Everyone gave a clear way until they were back on the staircase. The bomb device planted on the door began to release liquid until it was leaking on the floor.

"What's that? Acid?" Alex asked Jeff.

"Nah, that's water," Jeff answers with a wide smile. "When that hits that puttee of potassium nitrate-!"

Mark and Jack covered their ears.
