He kept his promise. I did have a good time. I really did.
Though, it wasn't all good times, unfortunately. There were exceptions.
Most of those exceptions being afflictions from seeing Winter with her.
Winter wasn't...happy anymore.
And I knew why.
She no longer smiled genuinely in front of Winter—she couldn't. Of course, she tried, but she just couldn't do it.
Her smiles shrank in Winter's presence.
Her laughter faltered whenever Winter would look back at her lovingly.
Her hand would pull away every time Winter reached out to grasp it.
