Power

I wake to the sunshine on my face, as a wake a little more I notice Liz staring at me with a huge grin on her face.

"Do you remember what happened last night?" she says while sitting up.

"Yes I do, I slept with the most gorgeous person in the world."

She blushes, we lean over to each other and kiss and hug.

"You want a coffee, or more alcohol?"Liz asks me in a flirty tired voice.

"What ever your having."

She heads out of the room with just a shirt on and turns on the kettle, I walk out a little bit after her with just pants.

"So are we.. you know." I say stuttering my words.

"Yes, yes we are dating." she says coming over with the coffee.

"So what do you want to do today?" I ask her as I take a sip of the coffee.

"Well we can work on your powers today."

I nod at her and keep drinking the coffee, we got dressed and after a while we started to head out to a parking lot.

"So what power do you think you have?" she asks me

"Well my dad has neon, smoke, video and concrete, and my mum just has neon."

"And you have tried all of the powers your parents have?"

I nod, I noticed Liz looking over my hand, I look down at my hand and notice it disappear as I put it in the shadow.

"I think we found your power Aleck."she says with happiness in her voice.

"Woah, darkness sweet." I say whilst jumping up and down.

Liz then looked at me with a serious look and started making a shield and a sword and of grass and wood, I started concentrating but all I could was disappear into the shadows.

"Bring it on Aleck. oh and just to let you know I'm not going easy on you."

"Wasn't going to ask you to, darling."

She blushed after I said that, then her face went serious and she started charging at me but I disappeared into the shadows.

"You hiding from me Aleck?"

"I'm just planning an attack."

I say that but all the powers I have is to disappear into the shadows. I think of what darkness could do to attack, I felt this strange feeling happening inside me, I shot out a beam of darkness almost hitting Liz but going right past her into a tree, as it hit the tree little bats came out and circled from behind.

"Woah, watch your aiming Aleck. So you going to come out and fight." Liz said in her serious voice.

"I'm coming out, so look Liz." I say while I jump out of the darkness.

"There you are, you little scaredy cat."Liz says in a flirty voice while twirling her sword.

I shoot the beam of darkness at her but she blocks it with her shield. She makes a vine wall behind her to block the bats from getting to her.

"Who's the one hiding now Liz." I say in a jokey voice.

"So that's how it's going to be huh, well two can play at that game." she says while flicking her hand.

I look down at my feet to see vines growing up to my stomach squeezing my so tight that I couldn't move.

"Ok...ok..ok I give up you got me, now can you take down these vines please.

"Ok but only if we go to the bar again, I could really go for a whiskey again."

"Ok, and what would we do after that, go back to your apartment." I look at her with a grin.

She nods and walks over to me, I go to kiss her but she puts her hand in front of her lips. I put my hands on her waist pulling her closer to me and finally got a kiss. I tried to put my arm around her to but she jumps on my back.

"Ok, you already drunk darling."

"Maybe we will just have to see when we get to the pub."

We walk off into the sunset towards the pub to have a great night of drinking.
