"How can you NOT know where your dress is, Melanie?" I bellowed, as I frantically got dressed in my clothes for my cousin's wedding.

"I don't knowwww, okay?" Melanie whined, still sprawled on the sofa, cellphone in hand.

"Mom is going to be so mad at you, I swear!"

And here she came, my beautiful mother all dressed up and looking pristine in her white gown. She took my breath away.
"Mom..." I breathed. "You look-"
"Stunning!" Melanie finished, her eyes wide in appreciation.
"Why, thank you my darlings," Mom said shooting us her beautiful smile. "Now of you don't mind telling me why arent you two ready yet?"
I gave Melanie a hard look who had a poker face on.
"Fifteen minutes." Mom announced with finality and went to join Dad reading the newspaper in the lounge.

Both Melanie and I flew to our bathrooms to look our best self.

I glided down the the stairs in my peach coloured knee-length dress followed by Melanie.
Now it was Mom's turn to gasp in admiration.
I had to admit. Both of us looked gorgeous in each of our dresses. Mom had selected them for us: sea green for Melanie, peach for me.
We had styled our hair in different ways. Melanie had done a cinderella-like up-do with her honey coloured locks of hair framing her face. I had left my dark brown hair hanging down my shoulders but done in voluminous curls.
Our dressed danced and swayed as we walked out of the house and towards the car.

The wedding was the most elegant affair I had ever seen. The whole theme was white and turquoise everything. How had they managed to find so many variations of flowers in those colours! They snaked up the tables and chairs and supports in elegant formations.

"Amazing..." Melanie whispered beside me.
My cousin, Shailene looked absolutely fabulous as she walked down the aisle.
The whole ceremony was dreamy and it was though I was in a fairly tale. Little did I know, I was actually going to be in one.

Very soon.

Whether I liked it or not.
