"I'm sure it's right around the corner!" Hoseok exclaimed, dragging Yoongi behind him. Yoongi groaned.
"You've been saying that for an hour now." He clung onto a wall so Hoseok couldn't pull him away and took out his phone.
"I'm calling Seokjin-hyung," he announced, going through his contact list. They were both breathing heavily from running around all this time. Yoongi looked up and was just about to press the call button as Hoseok pushed his hand down.
"Please, hyung," he begged, "give me a chance." His adorable brown eyes stared at Yoongi, pleading.
"Sometimes I can't believe you're actually twenty-four," he mumbled, then sighed and looked up to his taller band mate. "Fine. Last chance."
Hoseok squealed happily and continued to "navigate" the way to their hotel.
"Why can't we just ask a stranger or something?" Yoongi complained. Just because I'm giving him a chance, he thought to himself, doesn't mean that I'm happy about it.
"Because, silly." Hoseok tapped Yoongi's nose. "No one here speaks Korean. And sorry if I doubt you, but our English isn't even near good enough for asking for directions." He grinned and continued to drag Yoongi through the narrow passageway.
"Why didn't we bring Namjoon-ah," Yoongi muttered under his breath, "or Seokjin-hyung. They would've helped us out of here in minutes." He pushed his bright purple hair out of his face. "I'm freezing!" he whined, pulling his black beanie over his head and shivering to emphasize his point.
"Come on! I think I found it!" Hoseok gestured at a sign to their left, not reacting to Yoongi's complaint. Yoongi growled quietly, making Hoseok giggle.
"Sorry hyung," he apologized, "but you sound like Taehyung's cats."
"Do I now," Yoongi muttered darkly, although he couldn't suppress the smile that crept onto his face.
"If it's too cold for you, I could warm you up," Hoseok offered with a smug grin. Yoongi blushed and looked down.
"I guess you could..." he answered hesitantly. Hoseok moved closer so that their coats rubbed against each other and laid his arm around Yoongi.
"Better?" he asked. Yoongi nodded.
Hoseok led them around the city for a while, huddled together like penguins. Neither of them spoke until Hoseok suddenly came to a full stop and almost tripped Yoongi.
"That's it. We're lost," he announced, annoyed. "We're fucked."
Yoongi pretended to gasp in shock at Hoseok cursing, which he received a playful swipe for. He freed his phone from his pocket once again and moved away from Hoseok to remove his gloves. His phone rang three times before Seokjin picked up.
"Where are you?" he immediately asked in a sharp tone.
"I'm sorry, hyung. Hoseok and I got lost and we need someone to pick us up," Yoongi explained hurriedly.
"You should be sorry," Seokjin mumbled, then sighed and continued speaking. "Where are you right now?" he inquired.
"We're at... Hoseok-ah, where are we?"
Hoseok gave Yoongi the name of their street, which he quickly repeated to Seokjin.
"Alright," he replied after a moment of silence, "I'll be there in five." Hoseok and Yoongi thanked him quickly, then hung up. After a minute, Hoseok spoke up.
"Sorry I got us lost," he said.
"No problem," Yoongi replied. He smiled nervously and ran his fingers through his hair, almost pushing down his beanie.
Hoseok reached out to rearrange it, and their hands touched for a split second. Yoongi froze. He knew it shouldn't be a big deal, they touched every day. But that felt... different.
Flustered, he noticed that Hoseok was blushing too. He looked cute. Really cute.
A strange feeling took over his brain.
"Hoseok-ah, I have to tell you something." The words were out of Yoongi's mouth before he could think about it.
"Sure, what is it?" Hoseok asked. He shone like the sun in person and Yoongi was scared he would dim that light. But it was too late now.
Yoongi took a deep breath.
"HoseokIlikeyoulikenotasafriendbutImscaredtotellyoubecauseyouprobablydontfeelthesamewayandIprobablyjustruinedourfriendshipdidntIyouprobablyhatemenow;" Yoongi said in one big blow and hid his face with his wide sleeves. Hoseok moved closer again and cupped his face.
"Hyung, I could never hate you." Hoseok moved closer, leaning over until Yoongi could see every last detail of his perfect skin. "In fact, I might like you back."
"Do you really think so?" Yoongi asked breathlessly. He wasn't sure if he was comfortable with Hoseok being that close to his face.
"Well, there's only one way to find out, right?" Hoseok replied. "May I?"
Yoongi nodded, his knees almost giving out. Then Hoseok's beautiful lips met his and he felt like he was flying. Someone in him had morphed the butterflies into pterodactyls. He almost fell over, but Hoseok held him near and pressed him to his chest. In Yoongi's opinion, they could've continued forever but a loud coughing noise made them jump apart. The next thing he saw was Seokjin's grinning face.
"Well, you two look like you're having fun."
