"What? Explosives? What are we gonna do? Bust down a wall? Yeah, we defiantly won't be noticed then!" Casey yelled sarcastically.

"Casey, relax. Were not going to bust out a wall. It's a gate. And the device is perfectly safe, it only destroys metal." I tried to calm her down. Casey only huffed. I could tell she didn't like this plan. It's just one more rule we have to break. She was visibly stressed.

I focused my eyes on the road. Hopefully anyone else crazy enough to be up at 3 am would see us and not be suspicious. It was a game of luck now.

"Everyone out of the car and be sure your marks are well hidden," I commanded, and checked both their wrists to be sure.

Once they were both out of the car, I looked around for something heavy. I needed something to push the breaks down so it can drive to the gate. From where we are now, we have a straight shot right to the gates. After searching for a while, I found a cinder block nearby.

While being watched carefully by Casey and Vincent, I attached the explosive to the front of the car. They were. It's just standing idly by as I was rushing around to get things set up. Vincent offered to help, but I declined. I had to be sure everything was perfect, so I had to do it myself. Once I was done, I started up te car and made sure the steering wheel was straight and on target.

"Go hide somewhere," I whispered to the two that were just standing there, "you don't want to be anywhere near where the car came from when it heads for the gates."

"Why don't we just hide our marks and go through the gates like a normal person? They don't check for marks like they do for the train, do they?" Casey asked.

"Have you never been out of town before? They do. Not to mention the fact that people would be looking for me since I just left the festival last night. They'll start to ask questions."

"Fair point."

I looked in the car to see if we were missing anything, and then turned on my phone and looked up directions to Naomi's place. I knew the directions by heart, but Casey and Vincent might need them.

"Here, take these with you," I gave my phone to Vincent, and gave my backpack to Casey. I would loose it anyway if they found me. Plus, less weight means I can move faster, and run away quicker. "Both of you go far away. As soon as they realize the car isn't going to stop they'll start to search the area. I might not be able to get far away enough. These people are good at hide and seek."

"And how will we know you made it without getting caught?" Vincent asked, ignoring the touch of humor I put into the last sentence.

"Simple. You see that place on the map," I said, pointing to a small restaurant, he nodded. "I have some friends there that should let you stay for a while. Tell them that you are friends with me or Naomi and you should be fine. I'll meet you there. If I'm not back by nightfall, keep moving on."

"How many friends do you have? They seem to multiply," Casey inquired.

"A lot, now go." Vincent ran off with Casey's hand in his. I waited until they were out of view and then some more. Hopefully they find a good hiding spot before the guards come. Once I thought they were fine, I pushed the cinder block onto the gas pedal and hurriedly slammed the door shut.

"Time to blow some stuff up," I muttered to myself, watching the car speed off towards the gate. I watched all the guards looking at it, with what I can only assume is confusion on their face. People normally call before going through the gates, so they'll be here earlier since this is an unscheduled appointment. Oops.
