"We need backup, she's got a knife," I heard the officer say while Mark had finally gathered his senses and advanced towards me. I could hear the earpiece crackle in the other guy's ear, but could just barely make out the words.

"You'll...by yourself. Found... footprints.......two others," was all I could make out of the voice on the other side of the call. I guessed they found Casey and Vincent's footprints and were going after them. Unless they were some other person's footprints in the mud.

I had hesitated, and Mark took that chance to try and grab me, but I had hesitated. Mark obviously was new, and this seemed to be his first time dealing with a marked. I don't know how he hasn't seen one before, in places like Rayton there are many more people hiding with marks that get dragged away very publicly. He must be from the capitol.

I used his lack of experience to my advantage and was able to badly injure him with my knife before the other one came up behind and cuffed me.

"We have reason to believe that you and possibly two others blew up that gate. Is this true?" he said as he finished putting the cuffs on.

"I blew up the gate. I didn't have anyone else with me. As far as I'm concerned, those other two are random strangers who are just really unlucky," I explained, hoping to protect my friends. The officers looked at me suspiciously and Mark was doing everything he could to try not to get blood everywhere.

"Go ahead, go after them and arrest them. They aren't gonna know who I am. What do I care?"

"They're nothing. Probably just some random people up at 4 am. Crazy teens or something. Get over here," not-Mark said. Apparently he believed me. He seemed to be the leader of the guards at the gate. He commanded the others as if he were.

"Come on, you're coming with us," Mark exclaimed as he tightened his grip on my arm and dragged me back towards the door of the warehouse. I knew backup was coming. I knew I would soon find out what happened to the marked when they get taken away. I had to do something, and fast. I could ruin Naomi's whole operation if I didn't do something now. We both knew that she wouldn't find someone else to carry on the task. Plus, the police are already on her trail. She needs me. And so do Casey and Vincent.

The officers decided to stay in the warehouse in fear of me possibly getting free if they transported me anywhere far away. They locked me in a room with one tiny window near the ceiling providing the only light. There was only on way to get out and that was the door that they blocked off. I had nothing to do while they were waiting for the backup to arrive with the police car. I only hoped Casey and Vincent made it out of the gates safely.

I remembered that I still had my backup phone. The officers didn't search me before putting me in the room, guess they forgot protocol. Maybe if I call Naomi someone in my area will be able to help me. I hurriedly turned on my phone, and dialed Naomi's number. The phone rang and rang, but she didn't pick up. I tried again. It only had 5% left. I might not be able to get ahold of her.

"Hello? Dawn? Again? What do you possibly need this time?" Naomi answered, sounding more rested than the last time we talked. I had no idea she was normally up at this time, and its still pretty early. I guess that makes sense since she has a lot of work to do for the organization.

"I'm in trouble," I began.

"What type of trouble?" She asked, worry lacing through her voice.

"We tried to bust open the gates with an explosion, don't worry it only vaporized metal, and, needless to say, it worked."

"So what's the problem?"

"I had Casey and Vincent go hide somewhere far away from the origin that the car we used came from. I was only able to hide in an abandoned warehouse only a few meters away before the officials came to see who did it."
