The New Student (Lookism FanFic)

" My mom died when I was fourteen. It was a car wreck back in the U.S. I never got a chance to say goodbye and my father abandoned me with my aunt. So I just stayed with my aunt, and she moved here hoping for a fresh start." Gwen said simply as if she had to explain it before. She ran her fingers through her hair before looking over at Zack. " Zack your lip is pouring blood, here stop." The read head made him stand still, brushing some of his bangs to one side. She pulled a tissue out of her purse pressing it to his bottom lip. " Hold it there."

Zack's cheeks turned a soft pink, sniffling slightly because of the cold. He noticed Mira out of the corner of his eye. " I uh. Have to go find me if you need any thing" Zack said with a wave as he took off, running over to Mira wrapping his free arm around her waist.

Gwen smiled a little beginning to walk. All of a sudden her eyes began to water. Biting her thumb a little as tears streamed down her cheeks beginning to walk quickly deciding to cut through the park. She found herself running the cold air stinging her face. When she rounded a group of tree's she ran into some one. A pair of hands grabbing her keeping her upright.

"Gwen?... Are you okay?" Vasco asked as he held her upright. "Did those girls hurt you?" He began to question her nervously. Having been out for his run his hair was slicked back and he was wearing sweat pants and a jacket.

'I didn't want to be seen like this!' She began to wipe her cheeks, slowly looking up at him. " I'm okay... No they didn't. I just miss her... I miss my mom.." She began to explain to him and he stood there and listened.

Jace was watching Vasco from a small pavilion in the middle of the park, he got up beginning to walk over. 'I wonder what he's talking to her about, she seemed like a nice girl.'  But he stopped dead in his tracks as he saw Vasco wrap his arms around her and hug her tightly. He could almost make out a tear running down Vasco's cheek. Jace pulled out his phone sending Vasco a message to meet him at the coffee shop around the corner. 'I wonder what they were talking about...' 

The Next Day.

Gwen was sitting quietly at her desk when all of a sudden one of the preppy girls slammed her hand down on it. "What do you want?" Gwen asked not in the mood to deal with any thing this girl was about to say. "You know that Vasco's in a gang?" The girl said with a smirk. Gwen rolled her eyes and looked away from the girl completely ignoring her.

" Hey leave her alone~!" Mira snapped as she walked in giving a small wave to Gwen. As she walked to her seat.

Jay couldn't help but smile a little bit. 'I'm glad I'm not the only one looking out for her.' He got out a piece of paper beginning to write in nice neat hand writing. Looking up to see Zack staring at him eyebrows raised. The blonde haired man shrugged a little and looked out the window.

At Lunch

Gwen grabbed her bag about to slid it onto her shoulders when she found a loose paper. She picked it up and unfolded it beginning to read it.

'Your smile lights up the room~ Smile more it looks good on you. I hope this makes your day~'.

Gwen blushed a little bit, folding it up carefully holding it close to her chest. Smiling softly.
