Huddled in a corner, you looked around the room, seeing that everything around you was either destroyed or out of place. "M-Mommy...?" You called out. Your mother was leaning against the wall, body almost lifeless and limp. Looking around you, you could see charred wood planks curling up from the floors like paper, and the corner of the room that you were leaning on was charred. Looking to the left, you could see your father, pointing a firearm in your direction, his two hands shaking around the handle and trigger. You pushed your chubby hands against the floor and got up from your previous position. Standing upright, you tried to speak to your father, but the fires rose up and blocked off the open space between both of you.
I'm... I'm sorry..!" You cried out. "I'm sorry, Papa!" The sound of a gunshot rang through the room, and you felt something hit you with the force of a sledgehammer. Looking down, you could only distinguish splatters of red below your feet as the world around you faded away.
You snapped back to reality when an explosion went off nearby. Hearing an echo that came from the source, you used your quirk to sense the sound energy that traced to the explosion. At first, it was hard to trace a path, but as you got closer, the pulses of multiple sound waves became stronger. You turned left on the corner of the local coffee shop, and you found yourself greeted by a large crowd in front of an alley. Smoke plumes slowly rose, and when you ran through the ever-growing crowd, you finally got to the front of the ruckus, seeing the faint silhouette of a villain through all the smoke. You used your quirk to manipulate the wind particles, clearing out most of the smoke. The villain seemed to be suffocating its victim, and you knew that the victim probably didn't have much longer. You stood there for a few quick seconds, analyzing the villain, using the techniques that Izuku showed you.
Liquid-type villain. Can dodge physical attacks. Possibly vulnerable to strong gusts of wind and/or an ice-related quirk.
You looked around the scene and saw that there was a lot of fire, which eliminated the possibility that you could use air particles to take down the villain. Ice was impossible to use in this situation as well, because of the intense heat radiating off the intense fires. Not caring about your safety, you leaped over the barricade, running towards the victim and its assailant. As they came into view, you slowly saw a flurry of explosions, spikes of ash-blonde hair, and then the victim's face.
"B-Bakugou..!" You yelled out. A backpack flew over your head, hitting the victim's eyes, and you heard Bakugou roar. "Y/N!! Deku!! Why are you weak shits helping me..?" Looking to your left, you saw Izuku clawing at the villain's liquefied body, uselessly attempting to defeat the villain. The verdant-haired boy sobbed out a reply. "...Your face looked like you were asking for help..!"
Worried for the safety of your closest friend, and Bakugou, you decided to act on a last-minute decision.
I need to manipulate the water molecules that are under the membrane of the villain's skin. I just need to penetrate it with a few bursts of energy...
You forced sparks to burst out from your palms, and slapped them onto the surface of the villain's liquid membrane. *It seems to be a sort of plasma...* After puncturing through the villain's 'skin', you manipulated the water molecules by absorbing energy out of them to cause the villain to freeze up. "If energy is removed from liquid..." You concentrated all your focus into completely solidifying the liquid. "Then it'll solidify. That's how freezing liquid works..!" Watching as the villain was almost completely frozen, you notices that the area around your hands was not yet frozen.
Oh, shoot..!
You quickly raised your hands to the surface of the villain's liquid body, before solidifying the entire villain. You restricted all movement from the villain... But then you realized that Bakugou was still stuck with the green monster.
"TEXAS..." Both you and Izuku turned around to see All Might charging towards the villain. "...SMASH!!!"
The sound of the villain's demise resembled that of glass shattering into a million pieces. Bakugou was knocked back by the force of the attack, but other than that, he lived with minor injuries, which were inflicted by the sludge villain. Millions of tiny green specks flew Your head felt like it was about to explode. "Heh... I guess I overused my quirk..." You saw two pro heroes dash to your aid, catching you before you stumbled over. Looking over at Bakugou, you saw that he wore a grimace, clearly irked by how he had to be saved by two of his classmates and a pro hero. Smiling to yourself, you closed your eyes as one of the heroes carried you out of the crime scene.
"Kids, you could've gotten killed back there..!" The two heroes had praised Bakugou earlier for the way that he fought back against the clutches of the villain. But for you and Izuku, they ended up scolding both of you for being so reckless. One of the pro heroes pointed at you. "You. You got some potential. The way you froze that villain and saved your friend was heroic. But that was still too reckless." You looked down at the pavement, ashamed about how you pissed off a bunch of pro heroes.
"Your quirk would be great for becoming a hero, with the right training," The other pro hero added. "You should apply for UA. They could use talent like you." You looked up at the two pro heroes and smiled softly. "I... I will! I'll be a hero to save others! A-And..." You weren't going to let anyone get in your way. Saving others was what your quirk could do. Sure, your parents and the rest of your family shunned you. Everyone would insult you on your way to heroism. But as long as you could help others to live their lives peacefully...
"...Saving lives is worth the risk, so I'll train to the best of my potential..!"
