J.M POV
"Hello?"
"Hey...." he said awkwardly through the phone.
"Why are you calling...?"
"I want to talk."
"About?"
"You'll find out in 1 hour. Meet me at the nearby field."
"Sure."
I hung up the phone and exhaled deeply.
It's finally time to face my obstacles, head on.
It was about 7:40pm and it was now time to meet him. I walked towards the fields and saw him sitting down on a bench.
"hey." He said dryly.
"hi." I shook his hand and sat at a reasonable distance away.
"Why did you want to meet up?"
"I want to apologize." I said sternly and saw how his gaze was at the sky and not on me.
"So do I." He agreed.
"For what?"
"I loved her. I hurt her. I broke her. And now I need her... so I'm sorry."
I scoffed and looked up at the sky with him,
"I love her. I hurt her. I broke her. And now I can't live without her... I'm not sorry for that." I replied while sighing.
"Is your daughter doing well?"
I nodded at his question and asked, "And you? Why do I have a feeling you're gonna leave soon?"
"Ding ding ding we have a winner!" He smiled sadly and replied, "I'm gonna be gone in a few days."
"Jungkook... you know you don't have to leave."
"I know. But I want too."
I stared at him and nodded, "You're her best friend... how are you gonna break it to her?"
"Like I always do?" We both laughed.
"Nah... she already knows." He said again.
"It's in those letters isn't it?"
He looked at me in shock, "You thought I didn't know? You're funny! I know everything." He smiled and patted my shoulder.
"Well... I'm glad we talked Jimin. I'm glad I can say that we're friends now... even after everything."
"So am I. But hey... you should talk to her. Trust me, she misses her best friend."
He looked to the ground and nodded,
"I know."
