"So, did you have a nice first day at school after your vacation?" Mrs. Walterson asked Emily after the last student had left the classroom.
"Y-Yeah... I did...Thank you." Emily said.
It clearly was a lie, though; some girl had pushed Emily down the stairs and one of her friends had pulled Emily's hair. But the thing that really had upset Emily was the fact that Mark had completely ignored all Emily's attempts to talk to him."Well, that's good! I have to go now, so I'll see you tomorrow!"
And with that the teacher had left.
Emily sighed and stuffed her books in her bag.
"See you tomorrow"She mumbled.
It was already seven o'clock and Emily was still painting in her room. 'Should I go to school tomorrow? That girl might try to bother me again...'Emily grabbed her brush and walked to her bathroom to wash the paint out of it.
While she was washing out the brush, she looked up and stared at herself in the mirror in front of her.
'I mean, what'sthe point in going tomorrow?' She asked herself as she walked back into the kitchen to make dinner.
The evening went by fast, and Emily felt really tired, so she went straight to bed.
Even though she didn't really know why, Emily still decided to go to school the next morning.
Probably because she was too scared to get into trouble fo skipping classes."Emily, please expain this formula on the screen." Mrs. Walterson said to Emily.
"E-Ehm... Sorry... What did you say?""Go, now. This is the third time I have had to call your name. go to the principal's office and don't come back."
A lot of time had passed and when Emily looked at her watch, she saw that her classes had almost finished.
Emily's detention had finally ended. While she had detention, she had a lot of time to think about her life and her life choices. She had come to the conclusion that, without Mark, she wouldn't be able to live her life happily; Mark was the only person Emily could laugh with and talk to.
So, that's why Emily decided that today she'd go to Mark's house and try to make it up to him.
