Falling For Him

Megan's pov
  I woke up to the sound of the  rain tapping against my  Window,it's been this way for 3 days now.I stride over  to the window to watch the rain,it's  something I've  always done  since I was 16. It always felt good, my mind drifted to a day like this 6 months ago when I went over to Scott's apartment and caught him with that girl he told me was just a friend,I guess they were over friendly cause he was balls deep in her. I remember running out like my ass was on fire to the coffee shop a block away,I was too numb to even cry,I remember it started to rain and I just sat there watching,and feeling like nature was crying for me.
 Releasing the breath I had no idea I was holding, checking the time,I know I  had to start preparing for work. I  have  to face my  obnoxious boss again, working for him for the past year has been hell, sometimes I  feel like slamming his head against the wall several times at least to knock some sense into him.walking over to my closet,I decided to pick out something to wear,browsing through  my clothes,I settled for a nude pencil skirt pairing it with a white chiffon top and a black blazer with white stiletto heels and a black bag.placing it on my queen size bed,I strip out of my night wear,walking  to the bathroom naked to take a quick shower and I'm done in 5minutes. I quickly get dressed and apply my make up as fast as possible,going for a simple look.I look at myself one last time on my floor length mirror,grabbing my house keys,I step out of my small apartment and into the busy city of New York,hailing a taxi which stops immediately,I quickly send a prayer of thanks to the big Man above and silently hoping there's no traffic.
20 minutes later I'm standing in front of Gold enterprise. After a year of working here,I still feel giddy anytime I  stand in front of the building and I still can't believe I got this job straight out of college. Plastering a smile to my face I walk into the building with my head held high. Stopping at the front desk to say hi to Eva who asked about my weekend and told me how she went out of town with her friends from college to spend the weekend. After my talk with Eva I take the elevator straight to the last floor which has just two offices mine and Mr Reed's,with a coffee room and a photocopying room. I head over to my office to keep my bag and go to the coffee room to get Mr Reed's coffee,he liked it black just like his heart.when am done making his coffee,I take it to his office,carefully setting the coffee on his table,I make my way out of his office,he should be here anytime now,I don't want to see him this morning so he doesn't ruin my day.grabbing the handle of the door to open it,but it opens before I can reach for the handle and the door is pushed open,slamming right into my face,and knocking me off my feet,the pain came seconds later "son of a bitch" it hurts like hell still holding my head In my hands I don't notice when Mr Reed kneels beside me so am shocked when I feel his hands on my shoulder sending little sparks of electricity all over my body, "I'm so sorry Ms Mendes,are you okay? Let me help you up". He grabs my hand to help me up,holding my shoulder to steady me. "are you okay" he ask again " am okay", how's your head?,does it hurt?, " my head hurts a little but I'll be fine".let me know if it gets worse and you need to take the day off.leaving his office and walking over to my office,I can't help but wonder to myself why he's so concerned this morning I mean the last time he ran into me and knocked me off my feet like literally,he just told me to watch where I was going and just walked away. Sighing I think back to when he touched my shoulder and the little electricity I felt,I couldn't help but think that today is going to be one long ass day.
