Holy fuck this is my first ever one- shot im actually posting *^* Hope ya'll like et!!!

I actually did my research on this song and well I just thought it really fit Geno cuz hes an insecure depressing bean x3

Snow crunched under Geno's boots as he trudged down the street. He let out a huff of annoyance, sitting down under a tree, trying to calm his beating heart down. His face resembled an ocean as his blush was barely subsiding. Reaper was flirting with him again, although obnoxious Geno couldn't deny he had feelings for the god of death. However, he could do without all the pick up lines and endless compliments. Or could he? Geno wasn't sure, and it was that uncertainty that pissed him off beyond belief. So he left the house not wanting to yell at Reaper again. Thankfully, the god didn't follow probably knowing Geno needed a breather.

Geno looked to his side to find some girl, not too far off, messing with a guitar. She seemed to have a bit of trouble, but before the boy next to her could help her she seemed to figure out what she wanted to do and puffed out her chest proudly. Geno smiled lightly as she strummed her guitar lightly letting the smooth tune carry out, she looked like she was performing for her companion as he leaned back and listened.

"I never thought that you would be the one to hold my heart

And you knocked me off the ground from the start"

Geno smirked at the choice of song, leaning back and listening. He had an odd feeling of connection as his mind reflected the lyrics to his life.

And I believe that it's easier for you to let me go

The air chilled, leaving the glitch wanting nothing more than a warm hug from his beloved Reaper. He curled his arms around his knees and brought them closer to his chest for comfort.

"How many times will let you me change my mind and turn around

I can't decide if I'll let you save my life or if I'll drown"

Various memories flashed in Geno's mind, reminding him of when he was alone, family and friends gone and Reaper being the only one who stayed, saved him from despair.

I'll never let a love get so close"

Geno was stubborn. He couldn't deny that. He hated admitting defeat especially when it came to his feelings. Yet, he wanted so bad for the God to love him as much as he said he did.

He shivered, already missing his partner. He loved Reaper more than anything in the world. His hugs, his kisses, his snarky and smug attitude, he loved it all. But Geno didn't deserve it. Any of it...

"The world is coming down on me

And I can't find a reason to be loved

But I can't make you bleed if I'm alone

And I believe that it's easier for you to let me go'

Geno's heart felt heavy listening to the lyrics, suddenly understanding why he felt this way. Reaper was too perfect for him. He was a God for .... God's sake. Geno... was a mistake, the broken, shattered residue of his own bad choices. He was nothing compared to Reaper.

He hugged himself harder, burying his face in his knees, too ashamed of himself to even look at anyone. His mind grew darker and his breathing quickened as it all reminded him of his own existence.

"I tried my best to never let you in to see the truth

And I've never opened up

I've never truly loved 'till you put your arms around me

And I believe that it's easier for you to let me go"

Why? Why, out of anyone in the entire multiverse, was able to tear him down like this? To get so close to him. He never let anyone get near before so why him? What did he see in the God, and what did the God see in him? He was nothing. Merely an echo of a tragedy.

A sudden warmth filled Geno as he felt familiar arms wrap around him. He looked up and his gaze softened at the sight of his Reaper smiling warmly at him. Geno's loneliness and insecurities washed away as he leaned in and hugged back, burying his face in Reaper's cloak. Tears streaming down his face.

"You put your arms around me and I'm home..."
