~~~~~Halluciv's P.O.V.~~~~~~
I was happily looking around the large cozy cabin Marvul and I had just moved into. It was two stories with a small basement and located in a peaceful forest with large trees. We didn't live too close to town as we both preferred our space and Marvul, being a hunter, liked being surrounded by the wilderness. Back in our old home, the village made us a bit claustrophobic and Marvul didn't get along with the other hunters so we thought moving away was our best option.
Marvul was an enthusiastic hunter and was one of the best in town. He was definitely looking forward to killing a deer or two in a week. I never liked the idea of him killing, but oh well. I'm content with wandering around the edge of the clearing we live in.
"Now, Lucy," Marvul said, making me sit down on the couch. Oh God, here he goes with one of his lectures again. "These woods can be dangerous, so don't wander out too far. Always make sure you can see the house. Is that clear?"
I snapped back to reality, leaving my daydream. "Huh?"
Marvul face-palmed. "You're hopeless..." he hissed. "Just don't leave my sight. Got it?"
I nodded, knowing I really had no say in this. "Can we go exploring later?" I asked hopefully.
"Hm...maybe," he said. "I'm going to map out the place in a bit. You are to STAY HERE until I get back." Marvul ordered. I whined in protest but he didn't budge. "We don't know what could be out there. There could be a bear, or someone dangerous." I looked down and pouted.
I didn't want to be stuck inside again. Marvul can over-exaggerate. Back when we lived in town, he refused to let me leave the area near the house without him, not even to the other side of the street. Said everyone could be dangerous and that I could get taken away. I know Marvul loves me and just wants to protect me, but I just wish he would just back off a bit.
His gaze softened and he set his hand on my cheek making me look at him as he crouched down to my height. "I just don't want you getting hurt. I don't know what I would do without you."
I turned my gaze away from him and muttered. "Okay... I'll stay here..."
"Thank you," he smiled. "I just want you to be safe."
~~~~~Time Skip~~~~~

I sighed and gazed out of the window. It was just past noon, and Marvul left about an hour ago so I was pretty bored. The past few months have been hell for me. Marvul rarely lets me out, always checks on me, he never lets me out of his sight. The torpor is slowly getting to me, with nothing to do but stare out the window at the same view of trees. He's driving me crazy!

I've tried going outside a few times, just for a little bit, to see the sun, play in the grass, pick some flowers... but Marvul always catches me. I don't know how he knows when I try escaping. I guess his paranoia really gets to him. Sometimes it gets so bad, he comes home early thinking I left.

The house's large size only added to my loneliness. I've already wandered the entire place plus the basement at least three times. I've explored every inch of the place and even memorized how many and where each crack and crevice is in the house. Nothing special, simply a mundane cabin in the woods.
