"And what can I get you tonight, James?" I asked one of the most frequent and elderly, customers I saw on my night shifts.
"The usual please Rae, Emily is getting out of hospital today and Wesley is picking me up." James smiled, he was always my favourite customer.
"Sure darlin'." I smirked in my American west accent, as I filled up the takeaway cup and a bag with two chocolate chip muffins in.
"It's on the house James, since Emily is getting back home today." I smiled happily,
I'd known James and Emily since if moved in next door, they were a great couple, even helped me to get tenants and a job here.
Emily and James were well known around here, so was Emily's growing condition of dementia.
"Thanks dearie." James smiled gleefully as I passed him his order.
Just as James left in his son in laws car it started to chuck it down...
"What I don't understand Hope is why you could do this to me!" A young Irish man hidden by a massive waterproof shouted into his iPhone.
"No, you cheated! I did nothing! You know what? We're through! Don't call again. I won't answer!" The man shouted again into the phone and slammed it into a barstool as he took his coat off.
"What can I get ya?" I asked in my usual English accent.
"Do you serve alcohol?" The man asked with leather jacket clad back towards me as he shook his short but shaggy dark brown hair.
"Only bar in the town." I smirked,
"Oh thank heavens, I need a shot! Have any vodka?"
"Yep." I smirked, "Got any money?" I asked,
"Yep, I'll show you mine, if you show me yours." The man sniggered,
"Okay." I laughed as I crouched to get a shot glass and the vodka.
"3...2...-...1!" We both shouted in unison,
As the Irish man turned around as I shot up, with the shot glass and the vodka in hand.
"Dolan?"
"Rae?!" Dolan the tall six foot 2 man with the thick Irish accent with the shaggy hair and the perfect body.
"It's good ta see ya." I smirked poring a shot.
"H-how?" Dolan stuttered,
"Easy..." I smirked, "How's Harlan?" I asked as Dolan drank the shot and handed me $20, which was worth 10 shots.
"He's worse ta tell ya Te Truf." He sighed,
"Well he shouldn't have called me lier and a slut, and then told my parents."
"Rae, he's dead."
"How?" I asked unfeelingly,
"Rival gang." Dolan stated sadly,
"Well he always said, if I go I'll be murdered." I smirked at the memories with Harlan and his mafia gang.
"Anyway what brings you to Elizabeth Arizona?" I asked,
"You a'course." Dolan smirked,
"No." I stated,
"Not ta worry, I'll tell them yar dead. Nothing to worry mate. Anyway, see ya." Dolan smiled as he left the bar table after shooting down all of his shots, taking his coat and left.
That second my iPhone bleeped, since the café was empty I took it out of my pocket, and saw that Alyssa was trying to ring me.
"Yello?" I asked,
"There's a weird Irish guy asking if you live here."
"Say I don't lyss, I'll explain later." I told her hurriedly and hung the phone up.
